I own the Classic version. Love it! One significant flaw. The windscreen is abhorrent. Horrific wind buffeting. Shame on the design engineer. Abysmal failure. However, there is a fix, at a very reasonable price. Clearview Shields (Fort Collins, Colorado). Multiple heights, widths, and curvature to redirect wind. Impressive design and material, at a great price, and they ship worldwide. 36 years of windscreen manufacturing experience. Aliso, the longest run I’ve rode mine from Houston to Atlanta. 800 miles (1287 km). I’m a minimalist and carried everything in the saddlebags. The stock seat is not comfortable. I just upgraded to the retro Day Rider seat.
I like seeing you ride on the grass,,, just shows that it is safe to ride on dry grass without losing it, ,also as said below.... good to see the small details like oil filler.
Hi, it's a fantastic bike! I am a seasoned motorcyclist, I am 60 years old and I have never ridden a bike like this in my entire life (obviously I bought one last September Classic version. "Good BMW, you did a WONDERFUL job! GREAT video! Congratulations!

Really nice windshield bag...where from? Also, is that a BMW offered seat? Looks better than the original. More cushion. Good review. It's a phenomenal motor!!
Sorry for the late response, havent been getting notification from here for some reason. We had this R18 for a weekend direct from BMW, all parts are from their catalogue.
Hey Alex, Sorry for the late response here. Yes fuel was an issue on this particular model, as the tank was quite small at around 16L. I was able to get about 250kms maximum between refills.

Yes it really is a high quality motorcycle and it shows through when you start taking it apart and noticing the details.

Great review. Not sure why BMW didn’t put a fuel gauge but anyway. How many K’s you getting before you get the low fuel light?

It's a factory BMW seat but I'm not sure which one exactly, as there are a large number of factory accessories available.
