I think joy is Just enjoying things or having a good time when happiness can come from almost all emotions in some way or form anger could be winning a fight or beating someone In a game that in rages you fear could be watching a very good scary movie joy can be happiness just from enjoying something a lot sadness can be overcoming tough times not sure about disgust tho.
Just want more detail on the anti depressants make you brain dead argument. Because the first movie showed how depression makes you emotionally dead. Hence the phrase ‘We can’t make Riley feel anything’. To put it in the Inside Out context. There’s a difference between saying ‘I’m depressed’ and ‘I have depression’. Feeling depressed is what the first movie showed. Where a consistent state of negative emotions can lead to you feeling depressed because you constantly feel beaten down & depressed. Having depression is the equivalent to the emotions fading away Infinity War style because there’s a part of your brain that just isn’t producing emotions properly. Depression is not the same thing as sadness. Because sadness implies that you can feel something. Depression is when you can’t feel anything. Anti depressants are not ‘fake happiness’ they’re the equivalent to insulin and diabetic takes when they can’t produce their own.

I get that sadness is important, but every wrong interaction that has ever happened to Riley in the first movie is LITERALLY because of her interfering with Joy's plan to avoid negative outcomes, compared to the Mom's Sadness, she is literally super emotionally unchecked & unprofessional out of the 5. If she didn't send herself & Joy flying out of that emotion tower room (idk what's it called), anger would've never argued with Riley's dad.
I was recalculating for a moment, until I noticed that gringos ("Americans") have 2 different words to refer to joy, and its variant, happiness. No ofense.
I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this one. You are very right in saying that having money gets rid of stress and buying you comfort. I idea that those who are poor are "rich" in the real way and that money is the root of all evil..bla bla bla is super idiotic and needs to die. However, simply living comfortably and stress free won't guarantee that a person remains happy. There will always be things that blindside us and couse us miserly, not to mention that living stress free and comfortable in and off itself can leave our life's life's empty, shallow and meaningless without some kind of passion or challenge that can motivate us in our life's and truly bring us happiness. How many examples have we seen of rich well off people being completely board with their life's and doing really stupid things as a result. For that matter having lots of money and living stress free is not as long-term as my might think. People have a very bad habit of taking what they already have for granted and finding new things to be miserable about. You might solve a lot of your old miserly once you acquire a lot of money, but given enough time one might come to see there blissful life as just the new baseline, while coming to discover a whole gallery of stresses and problems as time goes on. So what then, do you go on wishing to have even more money that will solve the new problems....how many time do you need to repeat the cycle before you are satisfied........ Lets face it, as much as money and better standards of living do objectively have a positive impacts on our happiness...the sad fact (pun intended) is that people will always do/find things that make us sad, and that's not even taking into account life just screwing with us in ways we never expect. The best way for people to maximize our long term happiness throughout our life is to develop the ability to deal with the inevitable sad moments of our lives, and gain a better understanding of what it is that truly makes us happy and what are the things that we need to do/learn/change about ourselves in order to achieve that. And the sad fact (pun intended) is that you CAN NOT develop this skill set unless you have long first hand experience WITH sadness…. WHICH IS KINDA THE POINT OF THE MOVIE
Bro 1 view in 30 seconds, bro fell off. But to be real, I thought that money could "buy" happiness which is not a fact, but I mean I cannot argue with you cause that makes sense and I thought when you mean "kill her", I thought of something like motivation or charisma which is not realistic to you I guess. But if you really think like that, I wouldn't mind.
