How to Refine Gold from Alloy | Step by Step Procedure to Refine Gold & Silver | Gold Smith Jack

- In this video, you can learn how to refine gold from an alloy that contain gold. This alloy consists of Gold, Silver, Copper, Brass, and maybe Cadmium. Please Like it would motivate me to upload such videos
Procedure to Refine Gold
1. Melt pure silver twice or more than twice the weight of the alloy
2. Make the alloy as thin as possible in the press rolling machine [ If the thickness is less then it would take less time to eliminate all other metal except gold ]
3. Fold the alloy and put it into a volumetric flask or any flask
4. Use Nitric Axid to start the reaction between alloy and the acid
5. Supply uniform and low external heat at the bottom of the flask
6. When the reaction starts it produces red smoke so wait till it produces white smoke
7. White smoke represents the end of the chemical reaction inside the flask
8. Pour all the byproducts created in the flask into a half-filled water bucket because it contains all the silver
9. Rinse the flask several times with water
10. Just to be sure add nitric acid once again and left it on the flame for few minutes
11. After the reaction is completed rinse the gold several times to eliminate acid
12. Collect all the gold in a thin paper then melt it
13. Use Borax it will help in melting
14. 24K Gold has been Recovered

FYI pouring the molten precious metals into a bucket full of water would bead them into tiny particulates, would be a quicker reaction than a flat folded plate... and you can do it without a steel roller lol

That’s just a thin paper there is nothing special about it. You can use any paper or melt the gold sant in a crucible:)

Please someone tell me if you melt different metals in one crucible would they be positioned according to density while molten or just form one big undifferentiated alloy? Thanks
you would get an alloy, hence the chemical separation step, or you could use added lead and flux to poor the metal into an upside down pyramid to settle the more dense stuff at the bottom(tip), and then burn off the oxides in a cupel process to refine it removing the lead but would still leave some silver so the nitric acid is the best way to separate the silver. but this method doesn't mention the need for borax if you were to do it this way. Im pretty sure this is a Philippine alternative to mercury.

Yes its gold with other metals of 3.9 grams or something, after the process , the pure gold came out of that and remain metal alloys come to silver at end , 27.9 results in 33 or some weight .

It's not water it's acid and he uses alloys and not dust, that's why he calls it extraction. Acid eats away all other metals except gold, platinum and silver (that's why they are costly) so he extracts them using acid.

I do same.daily with nuggets 21% and amalgamated Mercury gold .
Its work well , and safe more than Aqua regia .
Most of Time i get 99.75/99.89 % purity
You Can do with silver and copper .
Mercury work good also .
Thé edge with silver is that you Can get it back.
Copper will gone on orange fumes.
Then thé best is silver alloy 2x the gold amount
