  • Today we'll be going on a spring morning walk along the lake Como greenway, a 10 km (about 6 miles) trail through the beautiful landscapes that the area has to offer!
Located on the western shore of lake Como, in northern Italy, it's a must-see if you enjoy walking and exploring what's around you. Along the way we'll encounter several old villages and hamlets too, not to mention the gorgeous villas that the lake is known for!
In this video we'll begin our walk where we left off last time, along the lakefront of the village of Tremezzo. From there we'll complete the last remaining stretch of the greenway, while crossing the village of Griante and its well known hamlet, Cadenabbia.
The view today is going to be different from the other videos, with the town of Bellagio which becomes clearly visible on the opposite shore. The upper half of the lake and the town of Menaggio can also be admired towards the end.
What are we waiting for? Let's check it out!

Thank you for this series of the Greenway..we never tire of the fantastic views.
There are lots of buildings dotted around the lake which are remnants of the silk industry.
    Thank you again..very enjoyable.

    Hello:)
Beautiful places, thank you for the walk :) wonderful wisteria - in Poland it is rare for them to bloom again at the end of summer/beginning of autumn. I heard about the silk industry on Como, but I didn't think it was so developed :) maybe one day you will report on the silk museum? :)
Halloween is coming, how do you celebrate it? Do you have any traditions related to it? Do you visit the graves of your loved ones?
    Regards:)

I'm happy that you enjoyed it!
About the silk industry: I didn't know either. I actually discovered it recently while I was doing some research! It's basically almost all gone now, so it was a surprise to know that it was such a big deal!
About halloween: it's an imported festivity, so not many people celebrate it.
The local custom is to visit your deceased loved ones on november 1st (which is a holiday too).
