We’ve been off grid for four years now. Lived in a camper the first 8 months while working on our log cabin. Lots of hard work but well worth it.

A consistent income of some kind is crucial. Maybe some 4 to 6 six year window for fashioning and establishing some kind of buisness from and on the homestead that will bring good money. I dont know the full extent of your circumstances ,but like one comment said ,you must strike while the iorn is hot,now in your youth before the wear and tear of time and age brings you down and deludes your dreams abd abilities.
