FRANCE vanlife. (THE WEST COAST)

Hey Guys! We are Chris & Sam, also known as The Travel Duo. We recently gave up our 9-5 jobs, our home to live in our self converted home on wheels. A few weeks ago we left the UK to begin our first trip overseas to FRANCE. With no plans of what to do when we arrive, we decided to make our way down the West coast & boy were we in for a treat. How did we never know France was this beautiful? Watch this video to see us drive 700 miles from Roscoff to Bordeaux with multiple gorgeous stops on the way. We share with you what we have learn't about vanlife in France.

We live in France (20km south of Albi as it happens, although we're moving soon - more to come on our channel). There is vegan stuff here, but nowhere near as much as in the UK. The larger supermarkets have cheese and spreads, but most smaller ones will have yoghurts and desserts, sausages, burgers, mince etc. Sometimes, they're hidden among the animal flesh equivalent, so are a bit harder to find. For ice creams, though, it's just sorbets and Mini Moons. Vegan Magnums haven't found their way here yet, although we keep looking.

Just found your channel and am binging all your videos. Loving it so far, especially as you guys seem like another version of us 😂 (we live in the SW, are vegan, have a dog and just bought a camper). Finding the videos super helpful as we are planning a European trip with our pup very soon 🥳

@@thetravelduo_ We've got a MWB Sprinter. It's just big enough for the 2 of us and Merlin 🐶 but still easy to park/navigate the tight roads of Cornwall where we live. How did you find driving/parking a van in Europe? Easier than the UK? Looks like France is already a lot more campervan friendly than England!

I stayed at the same park up next to the river in August. So good there. The restaurant by the marina was super expensive though.
