As a beginner 63/4 now 65,I too get frustrated with my drawings and paintings and many get left unfinished. However, your inspiration despite your own admissions which I thank you for. I know that doing multiple studies and practice paintings for a project is a thing many pro illustrators do, but man that would suck all the mojo out of it for me. Especially at that scale and level of detail. Kudos for working through it.

Brilliant yet again Daniel!!! I am having one of those moments with a large one I am doing. However, instead of being sad, I was mad and took my palette knife and a wrong colour (on purpose) and scraped it all over here and there so now I have to fix my mess. lol. Pure frustration.

I just finished watching all of your videos. I noticed that you use paper a lot instead of canvas. How do you frame them, what do you put them on to frame them? For cross stitching we use a sticky foam board.

Thin washes of transparent paint that can be used to adjust colours and shadows or highlights
