Bare midriff is common in festivals not everyday wear, this fashion show wear are for fancy days for celebs and socialites and can be found in metropolitan cities. Majority of Indian women can't show that much skin due to societal expectations/ fear of being molested.
@@mimipaul7002 Have u seen how women dress in village in sarees? Plus no one wears couture in bad neighborhoods. If u wear this in a bad neighborhood in US you would definitely get robbed or molested too. Why bring this up while celebrating art and luxury? People who can afford luxury can afford safety too.
Also @Pat your comment is patronizing. This is bridal couture and Indians literally wear these outfits everwhere while celebrating weddings or other occasions. Its not Pakistan couture that you are watching. Indian civilization has had very open minded attitudes towards sex and body image before invaders and colonizers got triggerd and suppressed them. If you dont believe me you can check history. Lot of ancient temples and books can tell you that easily. Women and men would go topless or wear blouses like this or even more revealing.
