    The late 50s Sound Leisure one always makes me think 'Ice Cream Bar', like a service bar not a choc-ice 😜
    Also... original 45s were all universally 'dinked' and home users had to use the little 3 spoked adapter in the centre. As jukebox use went down and home use went up, the 'non-dinked' became the norm and 'dinked' was the minority.

      Yes indeed. Thankfully the modern vinyl jukeboxes can take both!

    I have a question, and I apologize in advance if it sounds silly. What was the first year that a Jukebox was created that could play 12-inc, 33rpm, full albums?

      We've had a few Continental 2 models in recent years and they're always stunning to look at. We've done videos of each of our previous models on our channel, so go check those out!

    Thanks for the video, very well explained. It is my dream to one day own a beautiful Jukebox, rather one with CDs, in order to be able to listen to my collection. Do you have a reseller in France?

    • @HomeLeisureDirect
      @HomeLeisureDirect  Před rokem +1

      We only cater for the UK at this time. You can try getting in contact with Sound Leisure though to see whether they can supply a jukebox with a French power specification.

    Can I hook these jukeboxes to my Sonos home system? Thanks Jason. Spring Hill, Tennessee

    • @paulturner2912
      @paulturner2912 Před 3 lety

      In simple terms, yes. You need to hard wire, via a stereo phono lead, from the auxilary output of the D4 amplifier (on any of the Sound Leisure Jukeboxes) to your sonos system.

    • @davidclough8671
      @davidclough8671 Před 2 lety

      Typically you need a Sonos hub to do this. Most Sonos models are wi-fi only without any aux inputs or Bluetooth capability.

    The digital boxes what size hard drives have they got

    • @HomeLeisureDirect
      @HomeLeisureDirect  Před 9 měsíci

      It depends on the maker and model, but for sake of example, the digital Rock-Ola Music Centres have 1TB of storage out of the box. :) Stuff like Sound Leisure digital jukeboxes rely on cloud storage.

  • @kamenriderspider5292
    @kamenriderspider5292 Před 2 lety

    Are there any digital jukeboxes that mimics the functions of a vinyl jukebox? Like, it has fake vinyls and pretends that the music is on them?

    • @HomeLeisureDirect
      @HomeLeisureDirect  Před 2 lety

      No such thing exists right now.

      @@HomeLeisureDirect What about the button/code system for the song selection, where you look at the sheet to find out what buttons to press? Or is it all touch screen only?

  • @Leftlaneends

    How hard is it to get jukebox parts, or mechanic if needed?

    • @HomeLeisureDirect
      @HomeLeisureDirect  Před 28 dny +1

      For the new models, not really an issue, as the parts for those are still being made and are readily available. As for the vintage ones, people who can repair the vintage models are about and they can source the parts, but they are naturally quite in demand.

  • @lottery248

    can i connect PC to a new jukebox?

    • @HomeLeisureDirect
      @HomeLeisureDirect  Před 2 lety

      Most of these use self-contained computer units of their own, so probably not in the way you're thinking. Certain models do certainly allow you to interface things like USB sticks though if you want to offload media onto them.

  • @jessequinonez9020

    Do the jukeboxes already come loaded with vinyls and cds?

    • @HomeLeisureDirect
      @HomeLeisureDirect  Před 3 lety +4

      They all come empty (unless you buy one with a CD or vinyl pack), so you get to fill them with your own collection. :)

    I was hoping to get abit more advice on how durable there jukeboxes actually are

    • @HomeLeisureDirect
      @HomeLeisureDirect  Před rokem

      Every new jukebox is a commercial-grade pieces of equipment, so they'll all stand up to the usual use you'd expect in that environment. Vintage models are a bit of a special case given their age, so just be ready to put in some time and money to put in the time to get them fixed as and when they need it. :)
