  • This is an update of what has been happening, and what is planned for 2024. Follow along as I rebuild, repair, and upgrade a Challenger 2 ultralight airplane. Ultimately I will be flying this airplane into the north country of Canada, on fishing and camping trips, as soon as she is ready to fly.

How did i miss this video by 8 days? Great video and congrats on your progress. I've set a goal of 1 month to take my Sport Pilot exam. Then my checkride in the fall when the examiner is free. Will you ever take the floats off and fly with just landing gear to free up some weight? Any flying content videos would be awesome. let people see your progress. Youve seen mine being scared to death doing stalls lmao.

The floats on the Challenger 2 will stay on. I have an Excalibur as well, which was never built, and will be a wheels only airplane. I will edit and post what flying videos I have, probably narrate a lot of it for those who don't fly, so it all makes sense to them. Look for those in the next week. Cheers from Winnipeg.

I won't be even looking at the Excalibur till the Challenger is in the air and finished. Maybe late fall of 2024.

I’m also preparing for my PPL flight test, but at the school across the apron from you. I’m certain that you won’t have to recover from a spin on the private flight test - just an unusual attitude (stall or spiral dive) during the hood time of the flight test.

Do you have plans on getting your own airplane?

@@challenger2ultralightadventurelooking into it. It makes a lot of sense as I want to continue with my CPL and time building. Once I get my PPL, I’m likely going to look for a share-ownership situation.

On your 503 rebuild video series I saw you redid you oil injection, where did you source the large and small oil injection lines and with sizes/materials are they? I need to replace mine.

I purchased the oil injection lines and new banjo bolts from the Rotax dealer in BC. Canada. The Banjo bolts have a valve in them that can leak over time, and are not expensive at all.
