Puberty the first time around is hard but what if you go through it again in middle age? Voluntarily? Hormone Replacement Therapy has been a wild ride and - without a doubt - the first year was the hardest. glad to see you again Kate! I always appreciate your take on things, especially around those first couple years. I just passed 1 year on HRT and the biggest hurdle has been working with my family who are accepting but clearly uncomfortable with certain aspects of my transition. I'm doing my best to deal with them from a place of patience and understanding but it's hard not to get angry sometimes and want to just walk away from all of it.

The "mistake", I did: was to try to comply with trans community injunctions. It failed. I'm not trans enough. This makes my life really easier.
