  • Former Liberian President Charles Taylor on Tuesday, the first day he took the witness stand, explained how former President William R. Tolbert was killed during the April 12, 1980 bloody coup, indicating that the first bullet at the president was fired by coup plotter, Nelson B. Toe and that second shot came from the gun of Harrison Pennue.
Emphatically, he quoted another coup plotter, Thomas Quiwonkpa as telling that Tolbert was actually shot by these two men before the rest of them were able to approach the place he was gunned down to the face.

Wow to hear this makes me sooo sad. My Great Grandfather was one of those 200 Men Taylor was talking about that were supposed to be "executed" my grandmother always tells us the story about how when he was in jail they were praying and when he was finally released, he was the only 1 of his friends that were let go, everyone else was executed

Those men could never have killed Tolbert in that building, only if the killed him outside. You need very trained individuals to implement that strategy. You see how Taylor himself was unable to capture that building even after President Doe was killed. All that is not true, Taylor only serve his self interest. He is so selfish that he killed hundreds of his own fighters because he doesn’t wanted to be associated with them. If you still what come out of the guy mouth then are like him. Don’t get me wrong, all those are evil. One you will take away from them is they believe in what they were doing. Even if their believes were stupid, they still fought for that. Taylor on the other hand, the man is all about himself.

Is he the only one responsible for those killed that you mention? You guys are so hypocritical and wanna blame one person for all the many deaths that occurred in Liberia. They were and still responsible for the many atrocities in that beautiful land. Doe, Taylor, Prince Ellen were fully responsible, if you stop being sensitive and Acknowledge all these folks owe Liberia a great deal of retribution.
