@@MinnDakOutdoors I let a big 28" walleye go one time and it really made a guy we were fishing with madd and boy was he mad he cussed me out and everything he said "that fish would have fed my hole family in one meal" and I told him the same things those big girls are the biggest egg producers they NEED to go back if you want to keep catching good fish here, he eventually got over it, didn't have much choice it was my fish and I had already released it.🤣🙂👍

I hope you have a LP fuel filter on your heater. 20lb LP tanks are known to clog those heaters. Not exactly something you want to find out about midwinter on the ice. $16 on Amazon.

Awesome fish catch Jon!!! For sure buddy!!! A tip for you measure your boots that you might wear all the time!!! I do and it definitely works out good for me when I don’t end up having a bump board or a tape measure!!! My boots are Wright at 12” in length and both my boots together are at 24” so I can definitely have options for when needing to measure a fish!!! I mean I don’t think you will ever forget your boots when going ice fishing!!! Lol!!! Awesome catch buddy and definitely a nice fish for sure!!! Remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!!!

Fished there many many times, it used to be a lot better years ago. I remember staying at a motel outside of Belleville, it was the day that the space shuttle broke apart on re-entry, we were just about to leave and drive out to our hut, I went to turn off the TV and it was breaking news, so we watched in shock for a while, got out to the ice around 10am, thought we missed the morning bite, ended up having an excellent day of fishing, no monsters, biggest was probably 4 pounds walleye, caught couple pike too

Question, how much power do you take out on the ice for 24 hrs? I have 2 14.8v lithium batteries that are 40ah. So about 1.1Kwh. Wondering if that’s enough for fish finder and lights and a clip fan and cpap machine. Never been out overnight before.
I’m not sure but I do know that jacket explorer 1000 last the entire 24 hours and the some!
