    I have had this LAPTOP for about a week and it is AMAZING:
    1. This is a producitivity laptop for STEM students, and white collar professionals
    2. Battery life is great
    a. 50% brightness using one screen got me 12-13 hour of CZcams viewing
    b. 50% brightness using two screen got me 10-11 hours of CZcams viewing
    c. 50% brightness using viewing CZcams across both screens got me 8-9 hours
    3. Keyboard is fine and magnets keep it from moving on the screen
    4. Speakers are loud and very clear
    5. Touch gestures work prefectly
    6. OLED screens are beautiful
    7. Built Quality is outstanding
    8. CPU - very powerful , I run statistical software on this laptop with no problems
    9. Price - $1,255 open-box excellent condition at Best Buy

    I have this device with a 1TB NVME. It has decent performance in most situations. A little bugginess in transitioning to the bottom screen virtual keyboard occasionally. Agree about the incredible workmanship & build quality. One thing I've discovered is it has a superb microphone array for recording webinars & podcasts for my professional work. Excellent speakers, a decent webcam, and great screen in terms of text & picture clarity.
    Great physical keyboard but why omit backlighting? Comprehensive review and very honest. Perhaps a few more close-ups on the different usage scenarios of the Yogabook 9i would have helped viewers? Your script & critical insights are excellent. *Subscribed*

    I like the OLED screens but would have preffered miniled screens which consume less battery with the same quality.
    The only problem is the keyboard. The psysical doesn't have baclit illumination and the virtual one is not customizable (you cant change the keys, the layout, the colors,etc...)
    They should give users a tool to customize the virtual keyboard (choose the key colors , background and layout (azert/qwerty) or even create their own custom buttons (macros)
    And create a community arround it, where users can share keyboard layouts.
    Asus and HP come with similar devices next week at CES conference.

    I just recently purchased this Lenovo Yoga book. I think it is amazing. As a mom who participates in multiple kid organizations and events it allows me to multitask which is what we mothers do. Not concerned about gaming, enjoy the dual screens for zoom meetings and notes or documents. Tired of straining my eyes on small laptops which are needed to fit in my purse or bag. Love that it comes with stand, mouse, pen, dual monitors. The speed is excellent for what I use it for and portability is great for my needs. I am by no means tech savvy but I look forward to working with this Yoga, wish it were available while in nursing school. Gamers need to buy gaming devices, they are expecting too much for such a portable device. I love it as a mom and minimal user. It checks all my boxes and I’ve had no issue with battery life.
    I feel like the expectations of some heavy users exceed the device but I am not sure if what Lenovo is advertising to the masses. I love this device, it suits all the needs of a mom on the go and student.
    Way to go Lenovo, trail blazing for what is to come. Buy one, I did and I love it 🙌🏽🫶🏽 Just need a carry case🩷

    I own this laptop. Love using it on the stand with the screens in landscape. Would prefer a bit more powerful CPU and 32GB RAM but for daily office and mobile use it works nicely. The pen and mouse that come with it work fine but require batteries no USB-C. I’ve replaced the pen with a Wacom bamboo ink plus which is usb-c chargeable and provides much greater functionality. I’ve replaced the mouse with a Logitech anywhere 3s to get more functionality and USB-C charging.
    As for the keyboard, it must be charged independent of the laptop and doesn’t hold a charge more than about a few days to a week. It would be nice to see a connection between the laptop and keyboard supporting power like the surface pro line. If you turn off the keyboard each evening, it will last longer but a connection would be better and a larger battery like the Logitech MX keyboard or mini would be an improvement as well.
    It’s a great start. It’s enjoyable to use and the increased screen real estate and postures provide nice flexibility.
    It enhances my daily workflow in and out of the office.
    Great work and looking forward to future improvement's.

    I wrote up psych assessments, and having the data on one screen to write up on the other is a game changer. Right now I’m moving from schools to various other sites, and having the second screen would be huge! I wish you have a little more info on the feel of writing on the screen

    I purchased this early on and I'm just fascinated by the dual screens. It's fairly fast though it does stutter some. The battery life is decent/good considering it has two screens. But to be honest I think this is perfect for a) people who absolutely need two large screens, b) those who can use it in an office, hotel room, or home office setup. But to be honest I actually found it cumbersome at times. It's just way to big for using both screens on an airplane. And it even seemed kinda weird using it in a coffee shop. And then the price - it's very expensive. So, I ended up going with the Asus Zenbook duo. I can use it in dual screen laptop form whenever it's open and the second screen with the keyboard is a real second screen unlike the 9i when the keyboard is attached. It's actually the perfect size for what I need a second screen for. And I paid less than $700.

    • @msp5138
      @msp5138 Před 6 měsíci

      Please explain why it is too big on an airplane.
      When the screen are vertical there is no difference length-wise from a regular 13.3 inch laptop.
      Also why wouldn't you just use it as a regular clam shell laptop?
      Finally, saying it is "weird using it in a coffee shop" proves you don't own this laptop.
      Pretty obvious you just posted this comment to promote Asus Zenbook Duo.

    I feel like, if they had made the top screen their LCD and the bottom an eink display, that would be a success. Not everyone wants an eink display. But anyone who uses that type of monitor knows it's more relaxing on the eyes. Having dual options would have made this machine quite special. Maybe next time.

  • @jamesaron1967

    More power with the addition of a discrete GPU or faster CPU would mean even less time between battery charges. You can't have both, especially with a laptop sporting two full-size screens.

    Great video, Many Thanks!!!
    I am hoping that I can use such a setup for my mobile Day-Trading system!!! That 2 OLEDs would be PERFECT! Charts and executions on one screen (and at EYE LEVEL - ergonomics!) and chats and alerts on the lower screen. I do wonder if that U chip can keep up. Thanks again and totally loved this great and honest review, Cheers!

    Great watching :-) Disappointed about the integrated GPU. I wanted to use this for Adobe CC (specifically Illustrator). You said you used it for "drawing" and "in production" not sure what that meant. Any advice if it could be ok? It's above budget so I'd need to be pretty confident. Thanks so much for ur work.

    As i am very interested in this laptop, and i do gaming (but not all the time), i am wondering if it would fit my use, and survive it without being too glitchy :
    - i use InDesign, Illustrator (mostly) and Photoshop, sometimes with files a bit big
    - i watch a lot of videos/movies on my laptop
    - i play minecraft and the Sims 4 with a LOT of cc (created content i add) and some mods
    I know it will handle the multitasking for work like emails and browsing, you said Minecraft is fine, but will it handle the Sims with everything i have, considering its GPU ? Or would it be best to consider a more classic but powerful laptop ?

    • @robeytech
      @robeytech  Před rokem +3

      Sims and Photoshop it will handle but it's not a power laptop. So it won't be the best experience. You may want to use a more standard laptop.

    5:29 cool on paper but considering I want to use this for editing photos, making digital art and streaming said stuff I think I will throw a 4tb one in here. provided someone who isn't linus makes a video on how to replace said drive and install the right drivers without the touch screen which I hear wont work till you properly install everything again.

  • @djtechno95

    Now I'm wondering two things:
    1). How much stuff did you have to take down from the walls in your studio for this video so you could take full advantage of using lighting for bright blue, orange and violet colors? (I think the purple wall in the NZXT PC guide video was a painted wall; way too dark for lighting to change its shade...)
    2). How much yoga exercise CDs did you listen to during the making of this video?

    • @robeytech
      @robeytech  Před rokem

      1. None we have a studio space for this and that's where this one was shot :) The NZXT one was shot in the East Coast Studio but using colored paper, this was all using light.
      2. None... I was given some sample poses before :)
