@@iloveyoumorethangumbo I was having same issue, i highly suggest keep watching these types of tutorials and play with Fincal cut as much as you can. You will eventually learn.

So as a trainer by profession let me give some constructive criticism. you talk too fast. Start with the 'what' and 'how', then explain the why. You sort of just jumped into the why at the very beginning without showing the audience how you are doing the library location set up. When you clicked on Finder and got the and your Final Cut Pro thumbnail was there with its four stars, that is not what comes up on my mac when I open finder. Two minutes into the video and I had to go find a different tutorial.

I’m a pro for 25yrs. This is definitely not a beginner level lesson. You didn’t show how to create a project. You didn’t show how to create a timeline with video tracks. You jumped right into color grading, and saving multiple effects into a preset. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m with you, but I’m sure you lost 99% of the beginners.
