Marathon wasn't Bungie's first FPS. Pathways into Darkness was. (Marathon was referred to as Pathways into Uranus when it was in development. Marathon was essentially a spiritual successor to it since it contained a lot of story elements from Pathways)
that's because gearbox used the wrong keys when porting to PC in 2002. 343 just used their Port as a basis which is why all the graphic issues of the port are present in ce a\mcc.
Niko Bellic they (gearbox) also fucked up the lighting system too. The way textures were added to objects all depended on the lighting system. If you play Halo CE on the original Xbox it will look much more detailed than in the Master chief collection

As a kid in probably 2002 I played halo over and over and over, I was obsessed with the game so much, I remembered one night I decided to hide on the first interaction with the marines on the mission halo, all the Marines died and I just sat there, eventually echo 419 shows up and all the Covenant ran behind the structure and literally crouched in fear, I walked up and they wouldn't attack me they just acted scared, I'm 34 years old now and this weird glitch has always baffled me, Noone knows about it or ever seen it. I can't find anything on it, if you could look into it I'd be thrilled. I didn't imagine it, this really happened. I can't remember where I was hiding or how long I sat there but I can't seem to do it.
One time back in the day, I was playing the library with an assault rifle and shotgun. Somehow when I switched my guns, my assault rifle was shooting like the shotgun but it was automatic as well. It was by far the coolest thing I’ve experienced in CE
Wraith Glitch in Truth & Reconciliation is pretty fun aswell! You can get up top of the map on Blood Gulch too! You left out the biggest launches on Halo aswell, shame that you couldn't pull those off. You can get the warthog up to one of the high beam towers and then pull of a launch to the other tower.
There's an easier way to pull the Warthog glitch on The Silent Cartographer. Instead of trying to angle it correctly a million times, So a sharp 90° turn to the right as you approach the door and exit the warthog JUST before the it collides into the wall. The momentum will push you through the doorway right before it closes. Also. There are 2 insane grenade jumps to make your way back up super quick. But they require precision and a shitload of practice, as you need to make a few ricochet off the walls so you have time to add a 2nd or 3rd grenade to the mix before the 1st one you threw lands on your spot.
The most useful glitch in this game is backpack reloading. doubletap reload and switch weapons and your second weapon will reload and you can continue firing. Also double melee is great too. Melee grenade and melee, grenade cancles melee cooldown so you can do a faster melee thst way and you also toss a grenade which is a pretty deadly combo
You left out one of the best glitches! The one on the chapter, Two Betrayals I think, you lure one of the banshees to the control room through the tunnel and have it follow you in during the cut-scene with Cortana--hilarity ensues as the banshee flies around firing its weapons at and running over your character, killing the Chief during the scene. Alternatively, you can steal a banshee yourself and fly it to the doorway, accelerating and bailing out at the last second before the doors open and trigger the cut scene; the momentum of the banshee will carry it through the threshold and crush the Chief as soon as the scene starts. Fun times.
I realize it's been two years, but you were thinking about the end of Assault on the Control Room (Level 5), not Two Betrayals (Level 8). That's a fun glitch, but not as fun (for me) as getting a Hunter to chase you to the same spot and letting it attack you continuously during the cutscene. IMHO, it's sheer hubris to claim these are the "best" glitches in Halo:CE, just because there are so MANY really good glitches in that game, you'd need a much longer video to cover the best ones. I'm counted the "best" glitches as the ones a player can have the most fun with, so of course, it's subjective. But I personally have to count, for instance, sparring in a Banshee with 4 Hostile Banshees in a Cavern corridor until you get at least 3 of them to be ejected and run down (in TB, Level 8) as more fun than having that 3rd weapon in Level 1. EDIT: Okay, I gotta admit, that isn't really a glitch, it's just clever gameplay using Halo:CE's protocol for Hostile AIs at Zone Crossovers.

You missed one of the best SP glitches. In assault on the control room, when you enter the main chasm with the bridges (after getting the scorpion tank), if you force all the marines to be on foot, and go far enough ahead, leaving them in the main chasm by the bridges, and hit the next loading point, it will teleport your co-op partner into the tunnels with you leaving them behind, and then return to the chasm, they will be frozen in place. They cannot die...so you can throw grenades at them, blow them up with rockets, and stick them with grenades, and nothing happens...except when you trigger the loading zone, all the impacts from when they were frozen, hit them all at once, causing them to literally take off like rockets, screaming bloody murder. One of the most entertaining glitches in the entire game.
On the three weapon glitch you don’t need to swap the first covenant weapon for another. When getting back into the pelican on Assault on the Control Room you don’t need to face the pelican, in fact I’ve never even faced it whenever I try this. On 343 Guilty Spark only one well timed grenade is necessary This game has so many more glitches lmao

Our way of getting out of Sidewinder back in the day was parking a Scorpion in a specific spot and flipping ghosts off of it at full speed. I don't remember how, exactly, but it worked quite reliably.
Another way you can get to the top of the map on the silent cartographer is when you first find the hunters at the heart of the island. Kill ONE of the hunters then pick up an overshield that should be there. Lure the other hunter than you DID NOT KILL to any of the walls surrounding the area and let in melee you up the wall and on to the top.
In the starting room of two betrayals, there is a specific spot to the left of the bridge that if you jump into it your coop partner will also die. It's a useless glitch but it was fun to mess around with my cousins when we were younger
I still have regret. My local vintage stock has fully wrapped copy of Combat Evolved for ten bucks but then had just the disc for one. Wish I would’ve bought it once I learned the classic graphics on anniversary actually have some issues when compared to the og Xbox one

I usually just jump on the overehield from the very top btw. But that's the speed runner in me. Way you did it was " safer " the funny thing is also in theory you can drive the pelican but bungie just disabled it for the player. If you enable player can enter its flyable but then that's modding, but it's still pre built in the game

I also remember after doing so being able to walk to the halo ring and it saying something along the lines of "hold X to tether." Am i the only person to have done this or has anyone else ever done it? I've tried a million times to recreate it but had no success and i can't seem to find any videos either. if it has been done i'd love to see a video...
I used to have halo 1 of so I found out all these glitches by myself on my own when I was messing around I still do some of them I accidentally found the glitch to jump off the first bridge in assault on control room because an elite hit me off the edge and I though I was gonna die but I survived and got stuck on that ledge with no way back up So I decided to try and get further down It took me like 3 hours to finally do it but I was so happy when I did Old graphics works best for me with that glitch because I see a marker of just the right spot to land

I always thought getting a Scorpion on top of a base in Blood Gulch was the definition of an iconic Halo “glitch”.

Backpack reloading is good functional glitch. Tap reload button twice, switch to other weapon. Now the weapon reloads while not holding it.

Sidewinder glitch, all you need to do is ramp a ghost off of a scorpion tank to get up there. I used to do that all the time during LAN parties lol

On sidewinder you don't need rockets. It's easier yes, but you only need a ghost and a tank and drive on tank to fly up and jump out. :)

Lot of these glitches are exclusive to the PC version, which the anniversary version/MCC version was built over.
