  • Donald Trump has been convicted on all 34 counts of falsifying business records in his historic criminal trial in New York.
12 jurors deliberated for two days before reaching a unanimous verdict - it is the first time a former or serving US president has been convicted of a crime.
He will be sentenced on 11 July - the former president could face prison, but legal experts have said a fine is the more likely outcome.
Trump has called the verdict a "disgrace" and has attacked Judge Merchan, who presided over the case.

Well, they couldn’t do it 10 years ago because he hadn’t commit the crime 10 years ago, you don’t really understand what’s happening at all do you. In October 2016, in the weeks before the election, the Trump campaign was in meltdown over the “grab em by the pussy” tape, the RNC was considering replacing him. The national inquirer found out that Stormy Daniels was interested in selling her story of an affair she had with Trump in 2006. Cohen paid $130,000 as hush money and Trump repaid cohen in instalments, claiming the payments were for legal expenses, that is falsifying business records to hide campaign donations and conceal a hush money payment. Cohen has already been convicted and served time for this. Trump couldn’t be charged until he finished his term as president. Then it takes time to investigate, convene a grand jury, charge and get a trial.
      Hope that helps

Obsession with Trump??? Many support Trump because of his America First presidential record. He had the best administration in decades!! We had a 60-year record (or near record) of low unemployment and job growth for EVERY US demographic during 45's presidency!
Using existing legislation, Trump closed the border, and forced Mexico to pay for it by having them use thousands of their armed forces to keep people who cross the border illegally in Mexico, at Mexico's expense. He cut taxes and cut regulations, which improved the economy for ALL Americans. Unlike presidents before him, Trump demanded that our so-called allies start to pay their fair share of NATO defense spending.
Trump got rid of NAFTA and replaced it with a pro-American policy which is much better for US workers and US businesses. Unlike the unfulfilled promises of past presidents, Trump actually moved the American embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. There were three mid-East peace treaties, at least two major terrorists bombed, NO NEW WARs and gas under $2. If support for Trump is an "obsession" then I'm happy to be obsessed.

How did it unfold? And yet you miss out the biggest question I have, and I think the biggest question everyone should be asking. The Judge stated that of the 34 counts, the jury did not have to be unanimous on all of them. They just all had to agree that a crime was committed. What the fuck? That is my question. How can this be legal? It sounds to me like a person accused of Stealing a car, drinking alcohol and then driving the car, speeding down the busy streets, and then hitting and killing a pedestrian, is on 4 counts of theft, drink driving, speeding and murder. And then the judge says he'll be convicted of murder, so long as you all agree he did something bad. And then 1 juror thinks he is guilty of murder but 14 think otherwise, but because the other 14 agree he was drinking and driving, but didn't steal the car, didn't hit the person and wasn't speeding, the person is convicted of murder anyway. That's the impression I get and I want to see a run down on what the jury actually agreed on. Did they actually unanimously agree to any of the charges being guilty, or did they all decide some he's guilty, some he's not , but we'll convict him of them all anyway? This doesn't feel legal to me. It already felt like the Democrats were trying everything to stop him running again. It feels very politically motivated. It feels like the democrats have actually been playing dirty tactics and that will only help Trump gain support. But most importantly, this isn't going to do much to damage his support. If he was guilty of murder, treason or providing US secrets to Putin, then sure, people will turn on him. But paying off someone to be quiet about a sexual encounter they had in the past and trying to cover his tracks. Not the worst crime in the world. If he's guilty, sure convict him. I don't know if I believe he is, but sure, fine him. But jail seems excessive. And it certainly won't dissuade people from voting for him. His voters think he is the key to a better America. They won't give up on a better America all because Trump paid a pornstar to be quiet.

Trump didn't commit a crime. These were federal charges brought in a state court, which is illegal. Further, the statue of limitations applies, and even if there were crimes committed, the time to prosecute has long since been passed. Third, the judge gave Trump unconstitutional gag orders and gave the jury illegal direction regarding the charges. Fourth, the judge failed to refuse himself despite being a registered democrat donor and despite his daughter raising millions for the party. Lastly, the trial was held in the most democrat location of a heavily democrat state, and the jury was composed entirely of democrats who do not want to see Trump run. He's ahead of biden In nearly every poll, and it's impossible for Biden to cheat this time. As a result, he has had to resort to attempting to jail his political opponent. This is how things work in a banana republic, not the US. Trump is the greatest president of my lifetime and as an active duty military member I am desperate for him to return as Commander in Chief.
