CEN Ford F-450 RC First Impressions/Review

- Today is finally the day, I get to drive and test the CEN Ford F-450 Custom Truck. To see how it does right out of the box running a 8000Mah 100C 2 cell lipo giving her plenty of power. Since I will be using this truck for 99% towing I figured why not see how it does in a decently tough environment right out of the box. The results... well ill let you guys decide for yourselves. Also stay around to the end and I go over my thoughts of the truck, hope you all enjoy!

I swapt mine to trx4 t lock axles. It's much better off road now, and with the gear reduction from the portals it's doesn't torq twist so much when pulling. The spools from the cen b50 (part number - ckq0216) will fit the stock axles in the f450, I did that first but wasn't happy with the steering with the stock axle. So went to portals. Whole different truck now.

You got to do some work on the trailer hitch. The coupler on the trailer should not be under the bumper of the truck....in terms of scale. I was watching your video. The truck got stuck for the most part when the trailer was bottoming out. Put bigger tires on the trailer to raise the ground clearance and that may help. But as mentioned in your previous video on this truck. I got one coming in Friday for the scale towing. I am mostly into boats but I have a lot of 1/10 touring cars and some buggies. But I built a super scale trailer for one of my bigger boats. It's a 1/10 scale of a 41 foot Apache. The RC boat is an Areomarine Apache 50". It has scale outdrives and is brushless and hits 40 MPH true speed. The RTR weight of the boat (excluding the trailer) is 19 pounds. The trailer doesn't weigh much, 2-3 pounds tops. The length of the boat and trailer is 61 inches. I am anxious to see the CEN F450 tow this load. Keeping in mind I will be towing on pavement but I might build a little boat ramp so I can launch in the pool. LOL. Let me know if you want to see pictures.
Yes everything is a prototype as I've only had the truck around a month. Once you get yours you'll see why the hitch is at edge of bumper lol. Their is a good 2" from the reciever to the outside of the bumper. I'm working on making a new one to help eleminate this. It's as if the frame could be another 2 inches longer to be true "scale" and come out where a normal frame would on the body. But yeah that's awesome man, definitely want to see some pictures of her pulling the boat for sure, it sounds awesome!
I’ve been on the fence with this one! But the more I see it, the scale fun at the boat ramp backing and dropping the Veles Cat in the lake…. Sold!

Are the wheels aluminum or plastic on the cen Racing f450?
Great question! The factory CEN wheels are completely plastic, even the hub adapters.
What have you done to yours ? I just picked mine up last week

Unfortunately I don't plan on selling them, at least not anytime soon if I do.
She could use something other than rubber bands for tires, lol. The truck looks good tho!

@@QuadeCrabtree gotcha. Ecs tuning hoodie knew had to be one or the other. I've got a mk7 gti, couple buddies had n54 and n55 bmws. The n54 car rolled the hell out i couldnt keep up, smoked the n55 though 😂
