Too much fun! FD is so proud of himself, as he should be, it's not easy jumping out of a dumpstah! You know what, you folks should start the Dumpster Games! Events could include, carrying weighted boxes, sneaking a look for employees, camera & tripod usage, parking & toting stealth, but, best of all, the all fabulous dumpster mounting and escape maneuvers (all I can think of is getting out of the pool). @@anneallison5610 The majority of milk is from the one company and the potatoes are also from the island. Importing foods is costly and it also depends on the weather, bringing the foods across the bridge. Next summer I shall grow more foods.

If food prices were more reasonable, they wouldn’t have to throw stuff away. The price of eggs has more than doubled, and meat prices are forcing us to be vegan ( not a bad thing ), but what is left? I can’t live on pasta!

Daddy did it again . Least the aldi workers packed some of the boxes for daddy so it was easier for him. My anxiety goes through the roof when daddy has some many boxes on the go in the dumpster. This is just one store across this country and I am appalled at the things that get thrown in a dumpster, daily. This is just ONE store. This is embarrassing. I have to wonder if it’s this widespread in other countries, the food waste. God Bless people like you that try and save as much as you can. Also, I know the employees are only doing what they’re told but come on, let somebody keep it from a landfill!!!!😡
I'm writing my new member congress asking him to write some legislation about making it illegal to throw edible food out. If France can do it, so can we.

We got an Aldi a couple years ago. I'm thrilled because they have things so reasonably priced! Then l'm watchin Frugal Daddy& thinkin "l'm paying WAY too much for groceries!!!" At least HE can afford some MEAT!😂😂😂

My mother was Eastern European, and she always buttered bread before she put any other topping on it. I now do the same.
In England, we always put butter on our sandwiches. I can't imagine eating peanut butter without buttering the bread first, it would be so dry.

That grabber infuriates me!!! 🤣 it takes far too long and sends my anxiety through the roof in case he gets busted and loses all that great food. When FD jumped in to the dumpster, He filled a box in no time 🙂
I like that he sometimes uses the grabber. This shows the way many of us who aren't able to easily climb in do it. He is very skilled using the grabber. It's much harder than it looks. I always use a grabber and hook, but I only go after everyone leaves.

I talked to an employee at grocery store,I won't mention the store. I was told that they through out bags of apples when there's just a little flaw on one apple.Same goes for oranges,potatoes.So if you find a whole bag thrown out it's cause one had a small spot on it.Im sure they do that with other food too that might be shipped in a big box like vegetables and one bag might have a few bad so they throw out whole box? I'm sooo mad that so much food is being thrown out when people go hungry every day .In US and around the world. ....CM.

I love your posts. Years ago I lived with a dumpster diver and so appreciated all the goodies he brought home. The pfeffernuese cookies are something I grew up with as a child in Germany. I always get so excited when I find them at Aldi's clearance after Christmas. I would hurt myself if I found a whole case of them.
Frugal Daddy in 15minutes made hundreds of dollars in food. Keep up the important work you are doing saving items from the landfill.

Pork fillet (tender loin) marinate in hoisin sauce overnight, bake in oven at 165°C for 25 - 30min and serve thinly sliced over fried rice with stir fry veg. Yum!

Here I worried myself l sick, thinking FD could not find hiding places for that fantastic haul from his friend's father's house. Hope the man's father is doing ok at the nursing home. What a sad thing to have to make the decision to commit a parent. Please tell the man that we are praying that his father is comfortable. Be safe out there.
I remember the video where she found 30 pounds of potato salad and coleslaw. I think it was in a Save A Lot dumpster. I mean, she found this huge box that was still taped shut. She took it home and opened it. It had 5 containers of potato salad and 5 of coleslaw. That amazed me.

That looked like a package of pork tenderloin to me.
When I was a kid whenever I was tasked with fetching my dad a beer he would let me have the first sip. I remember loving it but had to aquire a taste for it as an adult. I haven't drank in over 10 years but I have fond memories of bear still.
That was Absolutely An Amazing Haul!!! I don't think with everything you get out of the dumpsters that you have to buy much of anything from the store!!! That's just crazy to me!!! You are Definitely Blessed!!! God Bless you all through the Holiday Season!!!

I haven’t had that much luck here in Georgia. It’s hit or miss. I would have to go every single day to get the good stuff. I did get seven huge rib racks last week. I shared with another dumpster diver who had her child with her. I’m glad I grabbed some extra.
One store in Asheville NC donates some of theirs to a local church food pantry. I'm not sure if any of the others do or not.

Pfeffernüsse are NOT an acquired taste. If anything, they're an acquired texture, kinda like biscotti, and this can be initially off-putting when you've grown up eating fairly moist and fatty sweets. Pfeffernüsse are definitely drier than most cookies, but they're also soft, which can seem incongruous with the dryness, and the crisp sugar icing is celestial! They are DELICIOUS, and best enjoyed after Christmas when they go on clearance.😉
My FIL was a baker. When it was time foe him and MIL to start the Christmas cookie baking, the first thing to get made was the pfeffernuse. The cookies were best when they had aged. He usually made them just before Thanksgiving. You think they are good now, wait till after New Years day.

They don't rescue so many breads,cakes,some bananas they're still fresh looking. Not like you Frugal mom even 1 banana and mysterious can 🥫 still you rescue them! Me and my husband make grilled pizza. Homemade crust , home made sauce, deli sliced pepperoni and fresh mozzarella and herbs from my garden. And we cook them on our gas grill. It’s delicious! Our recipe makes 4 pizzas, personal size pizza.
