That and Crysis 1 (both built off of the same engine) have tenacious AI that make stealth incredibly difficult yet just as rewarding to pull off. Crysis 1 offered experimentation but Far Cry 2 offered more open approaches to travel and completing objectives. The game doesn't hold your hand but that also means its not dragging you down the beaten path if you were to discover an easy way to complete an objective, sometimes with a single well-placed shot.

Ive literally never had an issue with malaria. I think people who complain about spend too much time in risky areas or not playing the right way, or something.
An alternative approach to destroying the enemy is smart. I liked stealth in Far Cry 2 and 4 the most. In 2 it is even more complicated, but I would say differently: juicier (I really like this complexity) I also really enjoy playing with a mercenary friend, which gives even more advantages to this part. Especially panic arises when you are fighting for the life of a dying friend + Their alternative approach to the mission
And you can only use a single bullet, even if you get a headshot they'll detect you if the enemy gets hit twice, that's why using the mp5sd is a risk. Much prefer the makarov or dart rifle

Been replaying this game and I forgot how different it feels from the first game, it was so ahead of it’s time with its immersion and physics for the environment
What bothers me on 6 is that there's no skill tree. So you can't have all skills. And the medium scopes are not available for AR rifles, shotguns, SMGs and LMGs.

im new to far cry and i totally love it so far but my only question is... if you're driving away to avoid guards and guardposts... if you're spotted.... are they supposed to chase you for all eternity? I get chased until i get out of my car and kill them. even if they are on foot

Yeah we know Farcry 2 is very difficult to play stealthy

I’m flabbergasted you didn’t get spotted. Hell, once I got to zone 2 in the game I just avoided roads all together. Even then I kept dying!!!
