- My brother Zack helps us out agin removing the engine from our 2013 JD gator XUV 550.
This will be part 1 of the series as we couldn’t complete the job due to needing a puller bolt to remove the drive clutch. We will post pt 2 once we have the tool we need.
Hopefully we can get our oil leak repaired and gator back up and running this spring

Just put a new engine in my xuv 560. A 3" piece of half inch round stock and 3" 9/16x18 bolt works perfect to pull those drive clutches off the tapered shafts.
Good to know. We purchased the puller on line. Had we known that, we could have saved some cash. Thanks for the comment.

Hey, do you have any knowledge on these transmissions, mine is stuck in 4 Hi and there is very little information about it online. Any tips ?
Will the gear shifter move out of gear?
If I remove the two bolts holding in the shifter, I can lift the pin and move it. Without moving the bolts, I cannot move the shifter.
I've had some trouble. Mine would get stuck; If I turned the motor off, I could shift gears. I've had it in the shop twice for that issue once under warranty. Seems like a set of shims was the fix, but I can't remember where they were installed. It's been years, it was a very common issue back when they were new.
