Now you can put improved aiming , improved turret location, skills like snap shot and smooth ride and it hits bulls eye. I have 3.5k average dmg
@@DrumGod92 i personally have the same problem with it on full aim. Bloom is smallest possible and it will just launch the round over or down. Not caused by rotation/movement penalty right?

Dunno for me it really hits now bullseye if I miss smth with it i know I would miss with any other tank maybe that ap shells flys slower than apcr so it contribute feeling that gun is less accurate
Same, magic dirt shells or too long of reloading makes this frustrating..
For most players, the gun treats us very poorly. It doesn't work, it can't hit shit,
try comparing it to the tier 9 WT ausf. lV
you get
-a bit more speed & alpha dmg
you lose
-dpm is lower
-much worse camo rating too
-less flexibility, not fully rotatable turret
-shitty premium HEAT pen on top of that(although I'd like it to be that way for all tanks, but in today's meta it's useless basically)
-much lower shell velocity
-arguably less accurate because of shell velocity and gun bloom
Not to mention that most of the time WT will turn it's gun backwards, turning the tank around which basically makes it's reverse speed 38 km/h so it can pull back behind covers much better.
And t9 MM is so much better
All of this and also the t9 if its in reverse has excellent gun depression.

I actually think the reason is that they think this is a sniper so they go to redline and shoot across the whole map. If you do that, it doesn't matter if you have 0.2 or 0.3, 90% of the time its gonna miss, or not pen with the poor ap pen.
I agree, Grill15 gun trolls me all day. this is also one of those tanks for me that "I feel" has more loosing teams. So bouncing half my shots means I seldom carry and often barely do my part. I would MUCH rather play T9 704 in T10 games over this hunk of crap Wargaming gave me after stealing my hard earned WT-E100.

By getting Grille15, you lose ALMOST ALL the tech tree line has to offer in exchange for a gun that doesn't work most of the time and forward acceleration that you wouldn't use in most maps. To add, you will of course get into the most toxic MM, tier 10.
Seriously, they should return its camo at least. It's funny that they nerfed its sniping and camo capability to sht then released the STRV line.
cuz I can barely hit 50% of the fully and correctly aimed shells... the hidden sigma on where the shells fly within the aiming circle is just attrocious
The gun CAN be good, but can also miss some real sitters!
Also, the lack of turret rotation is a handicap.
Tier 8&9 have full rotation, the Grille has very little.
You also seem to get spotted very easily.
I was really looking forward to getting this tank, but it has not worked out well.

it used to actually be a great tank. You could take it to a lot of the med spots and play peek a boom with the speed you would poke in and out with. Then wg attacked.
I remember when it was first introduced and seeing lots of big games by other players in those first few weeks - it definitely used to be more effective before power creep came in and tanks like the vz55 can delete 1k hp in a couple of seconds.
A buff could be to make it slightly smaller so it can use more bushes, and give it a slightly higher camo value.

I played 82 games on mine, I have a 5 perk crew, I got 2400 average damage (no Unicom but not bad either) and I just sold it. It is so frustrating sometimes.
The accuracy feels worse than it is on paper. So many shots hit the ground or not where I aimed.
Then the penetration. The amount of times I bounced perfect shots on where they actually should pen just simply bounced… sides of tanks, lower plates, paper tanks? Sometimes even other Grille 15.
I also had great games of course and I have 1 mark of excellence.
But my win rate with it? 41,46% (my overall is ~53,6%)
It’s infuriating. Most of my other tier 10s I have 55% or more
By far my worst tier 10 considering the win rate. I am simply unable to win most games in this tank.

Penetration in wot is a joke. In my foch 155 premium ammo is 395 penetration and still i bounce from sides of the tanks.
I think that sometimes these global low win rates are due to how match making weights or treats the tank in question.
OK or pretty good TD but gets weighted higher than other OP TDs so the enemy gets here OP tanks and you get this thing.
I have the same problem in my STB-1. I love the playstyle and do really well in the tank. It is one of my highest average damage and WOT rating tier 10 tanks. But also my lowest win rate tank. Hundreds of games, I have a high rating in the tank but a low win rate.
Pretty much always the top player on a losing team when I get in that thing. Several top gun losses.
Some tanks just seem cursed to lose no matter how good you play.
I think Dez that u got answers on ur question about Grille into comments, simply into 90 % of time Grille is absolute trash and useless. It has way too many bad things then good ones.
The Grille 15 is so map dependant, a lot of maps are city maps with limited lines of fire, limits the tank being able to flex it's long range ability.

I'm pretty sure the main reason people don't do well in Grille is the terrible camo. Everything else could be workable otherwise ....the lack of armour, the bad DPM, the mediocre penetration, and the unpredictable derpiness of the gun (accurate on paper but often just whiffs the shot far away from the target thanks to hidden stats) ...all of that wouldn't be so bad if you didn't get spotted so easily from so far away by virtually everyone.
I know why.... one of the happiest days was when I sold it.... fully aimed shots went nowhere where I aimed..... half the time even if I hit something it was either a critical hit or a bounce.... that gun only works on paper.... awful awful vehicle....
Low W/L is because of troll accuracy and no armor when almost all the map demands you have some and maps have to many hills and the grille 15 has no gun depression And the depression I get from playing this tank at times can't make up for it

I tried Grille on the common test. I added bond equipment and crew skills upgrading the accuracy and gun handling. AND I COULDNT HIT ANYTHING IT WAS SO DERPY!!!
Feel like with how unbelievably poor the penetration is, it should have like an 850 average damage to TRY and compensate. Or just give it better accuracy
No-armor and Tier 10 match only allow it play passively for average players, even for good players as well, which means 0% to carry. Under this situation, it depends on the teammate quality, and it usually sucks.
Very nice Dez, I think I will try it on my 4005 as well.
Derpy gun, no armor, no turret - you can choose so many other tier 10 TDs that are better across most maps and that’s one reason why it’s sub 50.
I’d take Tier 9 WT over this tank because the gun is so much better.
The Grille 15 has a poor win rate for a few reasons, the accuracy is actually a coin toss, there aren't that many maps that the grille is good on, and it isn't sneaky or fast enough to compensate for those factors like other poorly armored TDs. Those factors combined with a largely average player base, the tank is inconsistent.
also kinda funny how the new 114 SP2 has almost double the camo rating and size of a house.. lol. Seems German tanks have the short end of the stick in the game :|
@@bbone07 Yeah, that does not make logical sense for the grille 15 to not have good camo. And honestly I would have the camo buff on it and leave other things alone.
Soft stats of gun are atrocious.
Seeing the chiefs position in your second battle makes me cry. Its a good map for hulldown agression.
I have a 9 skill crew in mine, and play it like it was made of paper until mid/late in the game. Don't always win, but often score a lot of damage. Gun hits hard.
This needs a 360 rotating turret , still can’t get over how we got this compared to the waffel
I played all my ranked games in the Grille 15 for the last 2 seasons. While I only played to unlock the ranked bond shop, I didn’t have any issues with it
Too many magic dirt shells or too long of reloading makes this frustrating.. No cameo, I can be well behind two opaque bushes, fire, and get lit up every tank on the map.
i really loved thee tier 9 WT so I actually haven't bought the tier X, and the main reason is because I don't know what equipment to use in that, but now I have to try this, thanks so much Dez

@@theragebringer4424 well i've been thinking about that too, i mean, i have 6 crew members to use and not take them from the tier 9 TD, i have some equipment lying around so i can set up at least 1 config for now and use the tier X fully tunned... but it seems to be a big dissapointment when getting those crazy RNG shots where you only crit a track, or destroy a gun but no damage at all on the enemy tank...

I recently researched this tank. Had 8 battles with it so far; 38% WR, with most of the battles being 15:1 simulators basically...
I love Grille 15, 67% WR with ~5k games.
4th worst camo of all tier 10 TDs.

Grille requires good map knowlege and camo awareness to be effective, I've had success with it in ranked battles.

It was rough when I first got it but now its an ammo racking machine.
Read the map, read the enemies, put yourself in a position to get a good angle on the aggressive tanks and watch them turrets soar 👌
Grille is underrated in Ranked.
I prefer the RHM (tier 8) and the tier 9 is my second choice for that line. The tier 10 feels like a downgrade from both of these.

@@Schmitz_ I would, I dislike the Grille 15. If you like it then play it though, it has better mobility than the RHM and going slow sucks for sure.
Hi Dez! Can you do another RNG test video pls? Bit this time compare an account with premium with an account without it, because I've been noticing my that my RNG is better when I have premium account. It might just be me tripping or a coinsidence, but if it turns out to be true, it could be quite an interesting discovery. Pls just try it if you find time or run out of ideas
That ricochet kill @ 0:50 was amazing. I didn't know that even possible
once i was playing arty, someone has done ricochet on my ally, the bullet bounced and went around the building basically destroying me in one shot, it was like 2015 and it was the first time it happend to me, i thought it was a glitch or something, then i saw it bounced of my temmate from the angle looking at the replay
How do you get .2 accuracy? I have full BIA, chocolate, IA and polished lens with only .22
Imaging in tier 8 match, your top tier TD is grille and enemy top tier TD is 268 v4. Heavy line soon melt.
Grille15 is a tank that overly relies on other tanks for targets. If you go scout out for targets in a grille 15, you have a high chance of getting spotted & ko'd since you have little to no armor.
Are we not going to talk about the ridiculous shot from the madlad Jg. Pz E100 at 4:03 ???

Because that gun is even more inaccurate as the fav gun.. with the fav i hit shots the grille would’ve never.. they nerfed the hidden stats absolutely to the ground
I like to put all stealth and maneuverability on this tank. So fun to hit and run
@DezGamez - look how many people are talking about shells hitting the ground right in front of the enemy tank and you know why so many people hate the tank. Same for me. So many fully aimed shots (0.23 is not thaaaaaat bad) with aiming circle smaller than the enemy just hit the ground or disappear into Nirwana.
My tier 9 waffentreiger shoots in the ground all the time
The STRV 103b has the same balance issue… hide or play aggressively.
If WT auf pz.IV would be at tier X it would be better than Grille but in German turreted TD line there is a blody tier IX tank wich is better than this tank

I don't have it and never will. I have M56 Scorpion wich plays more or less the same,
but rewards me on certain maps with a ton of spotting.
Both alone do nothing without a pressing team.
Cause it can’t go toe to toe with anything. Hull down heavies you can’t pen EBR’s running around spotting things in first 20 seconds And main reason is it’s not Russian.

I menaged to 2 mark it back in the day but nowadays I CANT HIT A SINGLE SHOT. Bloody Caliban hits more reliably... Its aggravating and disappointing. Its garbage
Where did he get all those rolls of 800+ damage? In my Grille 15 I call anything over 700 a high roill.
i see a lot of grilles playing like a t95 so i can imagine why they have such win ratio. i fkng love this thing it is one of my favorite tier 10
I do wished it had a 360 deg turret.
At tier 10 everyone has good view range. And the maps are too small not to mention EBR is running around spotting you before you even get off base.
Because it’s fast people take aggressive positions too early in the match. Because it has no armor, they die before they do much damage. Also, the gun misses much more than it should given the stats.
Did anyone see the Jagaroo snipe the EBR from across the map at 04:03?
I love how screwed I got. I spent so much time getting to the Waffle E100 and (obviously) loved it. Then they replaced it with this trash. I've barely ever played it, what a waste. To think I've had it for so many years just sitting there.

The skill based matchmaking messes up that tank I think I noticed after a few good matches in it I get instant detected most of the time I have maxed out camouflage as well another reason is light tanks as well

Idk I never played grille. But all I know I bounce Grille 15's shells in my Batchat. So that might have to do with something.
I don't know either. My winrate on grille was 61% last week. But after 31/46 loses, it drop to 53%. Well most of those battles was a 13/2, 15/0, 10/5 simulator...
Just checked my stats in it, I don't play it a lot, only 11 games so far...but my win rate is only 36% and the Win8 for that particular tank is 2589 so I'm playing it well but RNG says NOOOO!
Needs 360 or at the very least 180 gun traverse. It's dumb that the Borsig and Wt IV both get 360 rotation and when you get to Tier 10 you lost the traverse. It is a downgrade in that respect alone.
Bad camo rating and the gun's accuracy isnt what is actually described. I have .26 at 100m. Where I should be hitting targets easy the gun often misses fully aimed in broadside tracked targets at any range.
I think Klaus has a vid on how the gun's accuracy stats are wrong.

Still with .20 accuracy fully aimed this gun still shootin the dirt for reasons. Like skorpion g for reasons sometimes the gun derps a lot.

It's quite simple: You need purple equip for the accuracy to work and you need to use the excellent mobility to be where you need to be and casuals usually struggle with both.
what? Only purple eq you can mount on grille is Rammer and GLD, and both doesnt do anything for accuracy
@@durachoks gld is not as good as bounty rotation which also helps with mobility, also the bounty aiming device improves the accuracy immensely
@@casuscnactus4864 Afaik irm doesnt really help for gun handling, those improvements in gun stats are there just to counter extra bloom you would get because of faster traverse speeds.
GLD technically does not improve accuracy, you just aim faster but I get what you are saying

Although the tier 9 waffle is much better, i prefer Grillie because of the alpha damage and speed, as an actual TD though, it sucks, i use it for more active combat.
the reverse speed sucks hard. one reason why i sold the grille. the Waffenträger was much more fun
Grille is a beautiful vehicle. The gun + speed combo let´s you do incredible things.
Currently about 370 battles and ~ 60 % Winrate. :D
The thing about grille being bad is how unforgiving the missed shots are, and also the lack of flexibility given the current map rotation. Stats on paper are good, but in game the gun trolls you frequently. These things are enough to tilt overall players to the point they won't perform well in the tank if played for long. Unlike the waffle which has sub 8-9secs reload and a more flexible tank, I think most of us would rather play it over grille.
Lack of full turret so you can't peek corners and stuff (Waffle IV can play peek a boom in city maps), awful bloom on the gun so aim time is a lie, so you have to be ready to shoot either pre-aimed or shooting at someone who is making a big mistake, no armour, poor camo and below average pen. It just doesn't fit the meta, you can't be at all aggressive with it, because of the lack of turret, the paper armour and the meh camo, if you get spotted everyone wants to shoot you and if you peek, move and shoot someone it takes ages to aim thus exposing you for a long time (as a big paper target).
I 3 marked the Waffle IV and it was really fun, it might be slow, have less alpha, but it has a full turret and much better gun handling, so you can play closer range support, peek corners and smack people for 560 with very nice pen for tier 9 (Waffle IV with 560 alpha gun has better premium rounds than the Grille does on 10, 352mm ACPR with 1.5k m/s velocity, so you can smack even heavily armoured stuff with that reliably, not needing to be super accurate). Grille can't do any of that, it basically has to sit somewhere and hope people make mistakes in its arc of fire.
I have about 1400 games in my grille 15 and can say without a doubt it is the most inconsistent tank I have ever played. Wish the stealth wasn't needed thats all it had going for it
because honestly the vaunted german 'accuracy' isnt as reliable as it says it is :P

When eng loves u then u hit even on the move. But a lot of battles is over recently in 5 minutes. If you go wrong side u might not have a time and chance to shoot anything.

That second map is so broken though. The TDs on that hill can hit the enemy heavy tanks (like you did) but there is no counter for that position and the other side can not hit YOUR heavy tanks when they are crossing. Very broken map. They fixed part of the problem by changing the hills around a little bit, but many players don't cross properly and still get slaughtered.

Cuz that gun is troll as hell, had 2 game last week 13 shots and all 13 hit but did not pen! Used all 3 shell type. WTF WG.
Why don't you play and review the Borsig with the BIG GUN. I pen all kinds of things with its standard ammo. The gold is 340 pen !😎
You can actualy make 13,16 reload time and 1,19 aiming time i have it on my grille
If they could fix that broken turret, then it would be a kick azz tank destroyer. Why does the Waffenträger auf Pz. IV get to turn its turret all the way around but the supposedly better grille 15 doesn't? They neutered this tier 10 spot by getting rid of the waffle e100 with its auto loader, so why cripple the replacement td additionally by restricting turret travel when the previous 2 tiers were not?

This is my first Tier 10 tank and I used to love it a lot. I got full Field Modification, bond rammer and bond gun drive but seriously, the gun sometimes troll me too godd*mn hard, there was a time I shoot at a FLIPPED EBR, fully aimed and ... I BOUNCED 3 TIMES, I almost sell this tank by mistake after that match like WTF RNG ???

Can someone test with premium turbo FV304…¿ i can get 90kmh downhill with the normal turbo.
Your issues with the VZ are felt. Every time I'm in it everything pens me, but if I am shooting one it never pens. Total curse tanks for me.
My win rate is terrible in this tank because half the shots I take miss where I am aiming or deal 0 damage... Also every shot that hits my Grille destroys it's gun.
A problem I have with Grille, maybe it's bad luck but 80% of the time the damage is under 750 on average, if I play with obj268 50% of the time the damage is above 750.
