    What is Earthbag Construction?
    Earthbag construction is a type of building that uses bags filled with earth or sand to create walls. The bags are usually made of burlap or another natural fiber and are stacked on top of each other to create a strong, sturdy wall. This type of construction has been used for centuries in many different cultures and is now gaining popularity in the United States as a sustainable and eco-friendly way to build.
    There are many advantages to earthbag construction. One is that it is very inexpensive. Earth is a readily available material, and the bags themselves are not expensive to purchase. Additionally, earthbag construction is extremely durable. The walls can withstand high winds and seismic activity, making them ideal for areas that are prone to natural disasters. Furthermore, earthbag construction is energy efficient since the walls provide good insulation. Finally, this type of construction is good for the environment since it does not use any harmful chemicals or materials.
    If you are interested in sustainable and eco-friendly building methods, then earthbag construction may be right for you. It is important to do your research before starting any project, however, as this type of building requires special knowledge and skills. There are many resources available online and in libraries that can help you learn more about earthbag construction.
    Off-grid living is a lifestyle in which one attempts to live independently from the public power grid. This can be done for a variety of reasons, including saving money, being more environmentally friendly, or simply wanting to live a self-sufficient lifestyle.
    There are a few things to consider before making the switch to off-grid living. First, it is important to have a reliable source of renewable energy, such as solar panels or wind turbines. Next, you will need to have a way to store your food and water since you will no longer have access to running water or refrigeration. Finally, you should be prepared for some challenges, such as dealing with bad weather and isolation from the outside world.
    Despite the challenges, there are many benefits to living off-grid. You will become more self-sufficient and learn new skills. You will also have a greater appreciation for nature and the simple things in life. If you are thinking about making the switch to off-grid living, do your research and make sure you are prepared for the challenges that come along with it.
    Living off-grid has many benefits, including being more self-sufficient, living closer to nature, and having a smaller ecological footprint.
    Self-sufficiency: Off-grid living can make you more self-sufficient as you are not relying on public utilities. This means that you need to be able to generate your own power, collect your own water, and grow your own food. This can be a great way to live a more sustainable lifestyle as you are not relying on resources that may be scarce in the future.
    Living closer to nature: When you live off-grid, you are often living in a more rural area which means you are closer to nature. This can provide a sense of peace and tranquility that is hard to find in the hustle and bustle of city life. It can also be a great way to connect with the natural world and learn about sustainable living practices.
    Having a smaller ecological footprint: One of the main goals of sustainable living is to have a smaller ecological footprint. By living off-grid, you are already reducing your impact on the environment by not using public utilities. You can further reduce your impact by using renewable energy sources and organic gardening practices.

    Im sorry but it seems like these people are clueless. They are causing about as much trash and waste than most normal homes, not to mention you took a natural environment and made it inhabitable and full of plastic. Im sure when y’all get old and leave that place, they’ll be leaving all that waste behind. People cause more harm than good in a lot of these situations because they cant tale a step back.

    • @dertythegrower
      @dertythegrower Před rokem

      Wow.
      How so...?
      Gotta say a big No. You need to study grocery store plastic wrapper use by suburban home, and economics of regenerative ag more, and listen to the whole thing here.. seems you commented before thirty minutes so it kind of proves you did not view the entire thing.
      The bags, for example, they said were going to get tossed out into a land fill but they saved them to put earth into. They do not have anywhere near the daily plastic use of a suburban family.. prove what you are saying.
      The only thing they messed up environmentally was a few desert plants that rarely got rain, as they are collecting a little bit. These people picked the bare desert and you are still complaining... where do you live that is superior way to do it?

    • @IlKairos
      @IlKairos Před rokem +2

      Facts. "Off grid" living is a myth, because no matter what situation people find themselves in, you'll need the government for food, water, essential supplies, other people, and whatever shelter you got. Unless you're living truly off the land, hunting, carrying water back home, no car, no electricity, no plumbing. It's complete ignorance. Even small towns sustain themselves only because there's a decent crowd there to help as safety nets for your lifestyle. And what happens when they decide to separate, where you going? Such a waste.
