Split Enz is a great grade 3 that takes you from the top of Mt Moerangi alllllll the way to the bottom of the valley. In the regenerating pine it has speed, lots of corners to get your flow on, and a couple of great features to double up. This is a top to bottom video following Christy, who also does some lessons for us, out of the forest.

Split Enz is lucky to have a super adopter who spends A LOT of time taking care of that trail. Over 90 hours last quarter! Plus weed spraying by the RTT crew. :)

Nice one. I got recommend this by someone after my recent trip to the redwoods but didn't make it here. It's the first to do when I return soon!

rode this today! 9:22 dead quiet, no one was there but we found a little black dog running around, very odd, a little Hairy Mclary looking thing.

I hear what you're saying...first time down it though so I was a little surprised by the condition.
Understandable. Thanks for the update on the trail. If you are into supporting the trails then you should definitely get in touch with the Rotorua Trails Trust. With over 200km of trails (and that's just the mountain biking trails), they rely heavily on volunteers and donations as the park is free to ride in. I know for Split Enz alone, there were roughly 20 volunteer hours put into clearing trees, drainage and just keeping the trail open.
I HIGHLY recommend to anyone who notices that their favourite trails are getting a bit beaten up, to contact the Rotorua Trails Trust to Join & donate, and follow them on their social channels so that you can get involved in some trail maintenance on their dig days and help out the community 🤙

raced it few weeks ago, it was running horribly with all that famous roto dust!

From the shuttle ride billy t then head up Moerangi Rd 👌
Track has braking bumps top to bottom which ruins the flow....not worth the ride up.
Definitely worth the ride up! If you get out of the middle of the trail most of the bumps are easily avoided. It also sets you up better for the corners 🤙
