@Texel76 Is it? After all, the intro shows that the game takes place after S3 & K, so that's why I decided that this is the same robot from the end of that game
@Texel76 Well. Final Weapon is not a proper robot name, so maybe it can be named Giant/Kyodai Eggman Robo Mk. II, as it has a similar appearance to Sonic 3K's DEZ2's final boss.
That's why I called this robot Giant Egg Robo, and besides, this is a fan offshoot of S3&K
@Texel76 Final Weapon's second phase is then a mix of Death Egg Robot and Kyodai Eggman Robo.
But I think the Kyodai is the true Death Egg Robot Mk. II, and then Final Weapon 2 is DER Mk. III.
Fun fact: the final trouble was never in the original sonic triple trouble. Noah and his team came up with the idea themselves, and made a perfect final boss

I really love how metal Sonic’s boss theme is a remix of the Japanese and NA stardust speedway tracks. It fits so well!

This game is amazing. I mean, it even had a twist villain with a clue earlier on when you fight Knuckles. There's something...oddly familiar about the music. The special stages where you race Nack were a lot more fun then simple ring collection (though you do need to get rings as your rings are slowly counting down). A lot of effort went into this game.
I agree, in my opinion, this is one of the best fan games about Sonic, on par with Sonic 3D in 2D

As for me this game is one of the best fangame
It's nice to see something like this. The Game Gear and Master System Sonic games often get forgotten when discussing Sonic's legacy, but most of these games were solid games even on 8-bit hardware.
So, it's nice to see a Game Gear Sonic get some love and serve as the foundation for such a great remake.
But here's the thing, by not being a straight remake that takes the Game Gear version and upgrades the graphics, this game feels more like a reinterpretation of the same core game.
Which means, it's worth checking out the Game Gear original since both games are so different.
I agree, what I did not expect from this remake is the battle with Rocket Metal. Also, I really liked the gameplay mechanics for Sonic and Tails, during the gameplay they feel like a real team, and Tails does not feel like a useless NPS
Knuckles when playing as him has a few unique bosses you didn't include in the video. Notably in Angel Island zone (which is where he starts instead of zone zero), Tidal Plant act 2, and Atomic Destroyer act 3.
Thanks for the correction, usually when it comes to all bosses, only Sonic's story is shown. Sometimes I also insert bosses from other stories, but I honestly really rushed to release this video, but anyway, thanks for the correction

Knuckles' final boss was updated, you now fight Fang, Metal Sonic then Eggman instead of only Fang

I like how the life drains out of the metal penguins robots eye’s but it’s also kind of sad because metal sonics eyes did the same thing in the movie as his body melts in the lava. As his head liquifies his glowing eyes go out as his cpu is fried. That scene is so sad
Also the final form of metal sonic In this game doesn’t look evil he looks… sad. His eyes look sentient and sorrowful. I heard that metal develops a good conscience and as soon as he does robotnik resets him. He’s a slave and can’t help what he’s doing for the most part. If he hadn’t burned to death in the movie Robotnik would have just reset him. So as horrific and torturous his death was at least his soul was able to escape at least for a time…

The part when you realize that the air shield isn't already part of Sonic's moveset (go to the sound test) because it makes the chamber part of the final battle too easy

Hey I just realized if this game is right after Sonics story in 3&K, when does knuckles story take place? Always assumed it was directly after Sonics.
I actually don't know where it would take place with this game, since knuckles' story in this game takes place at basically the same time as sonic & tails' story... maybe after sonic and tails' full story in STT16-bit, eggman goes back to angel island as knuckles was away? Or maybe S3K knuckles' story takes place a bit after STT16B's S&T full story, as it suggests the master emerald was returned to hidden palace after metal sonic found the new hiding place extremely quickly compared to how long it took eggman to find the original hiding place.
There is a Knuckle's Story mode in this game too and how he ended up in a cage and rescued by Sonic and Tails
