I don't think this books where in existence....this is definitely New Curriculum to alter children's and teens thoughts as they will be changed pschologically.

Kids should be able to have almost any question answered; if that is a problem, a book they can get is a partial solution.

I was raised by foul mouthed truck drivers, and used to always say book bans are soooo bad. And then I listened to parents and students read what they found at school. One of the authors of these books was completely confused why his book was even in schools! He basically said, "That's an adult book. I didn't write it intending for it to be read by children."

I'm 75, white and British but I know NC well, having lived near Fayetteville and near Morehead during the 1970s and I applaud this woman for standing up for what is right. I find it difficult to understand the abysmal level to which education of our young people has descended during my lifetime. I have some good friends of longstanding over in NC and they too are troubled by this abdication from responsibility for the wellbeing of our young people. Thank you for posting this.

I am an elementary teacher in a public school and I am appalled that this book is found in public schools! I know for a fact that it's not in our school, but it should not exist in ANY school! This is disgusting and it's sole purpose is to groom children to be promiscuous. Our role as adults is to protect children, not endanger them. Im so sick of leftists saying this isn't in our schools. My 6 year old neice got a book at a book fair that looked like a princess book. It was in fact promoting the relationship between 2 males. The prince and the knoght. 6 YEARS OLD. My sister emailed the principal. They aren't in charge of what books come in but he did contact the representative and said not to send those books anymore and to monitor what they send better. I think the rep did it on purpose but at least my sister and the principal stood up to the agenda.

I heard about books like this but when I heard the content, I was shocked at how sexual and perverted it got. OMG! THIS HAS GOT TO STOP! Thx for these parents for exposing these nonsense being pushed to schools.
Exactly. As she said, the book is promoting promiscuity. It goes beyond general information on what it means to be LGBTQ or mental health support for kids struggling with LGBTQ. Those are arguably fine for high school, but certainly not this book.
Unfortunately there are probably SCADS of Minor Atttracted Persons over age 18 who can't WAIT to help these young teens "practice" (and soon grade schoolers, the way things are going)...

I so agree, I came from a generation that even the reproductive system was roar in high school. This needs to stop and the government or school system has no right to do this to our children.

That is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen in my life. Who gave the okay for something like that to be around young people, the teachers for that matter we don't want to know about that either. To let our young people learn about such a derogatory matter. Students are supposed to be new to the world of sexual exploration ,of relationships not learning the catastrophic damage that is that book. It is obviously written by someone who has the intent to groom young people to follow in their brand of perverted behavior. Where is any of that within the realm of normal school curriculum? And they wonder why the students are angry, frustrated and confused. We are supposed to keep the monsters out of our schools not allow them to come in and wreak chaos and very detrimental havoc among our future leaders and parents of tomorrow. Kudos to the parent for her actions.
