Not much to say about this game. I played nintendo version as a kid and I don't remember that I sow arcade version. Here I played arcade version via the MAME emulator.

4:30 I love that the greatest obstacle you encounter in this run is that flame gun icon you (and all of us) are so desperate to avoid.
It only took 7 developers to create this Arcade game. Just shows how Konami used to be epic as hell.
So much easier than the NES version. But both awesome games

Contra is my favorite all-time arcade game and on the NES a Super C and Contra 3 the Alien Wars an operation Contra on GameBoy
This is the way Contra would have looked and sounded if it first came out on the Sega Genesis instead of the Nintendo.
Except that these arcade machines didn't have BLAST PROCESSING
the only bad thing i can say about this game was that it was soooooo easy to finish. Always will be a classic though!!
The good thing about old arcade games was that there was no explanation for the story. Most of the detailed story descriptions were not as good as the stories created by my imagination.
16 bit graphics era of arcade game
They should remake these titles in 4K wit new style graphics but exact same game and style of play, just realistic looking people guns and backgrounds

No they shouldn't. The NES version which has inferior graphics is still better than this and holds up very well today because it's game play is far smoother. Yet another example of people wanting remakes just for the sake of it. HD/4K graphics don't make games any better.
We got Contra Evolution already!

Surely there were dip switches to alter the difficulty like most arcade games. Seems like the enemies are dying incredibly fast and is overall easy.
The Arcade version is much easier than the NES version but it is tool assisted.

Yep who cares if the graphics were worse. I actually prefer the music on NES as well.
The drums in the arcade Contra are trash imo, but Super Contra did the music way better @@CJTranceAddiction

At the 10:52 and 10:57 mark, Bill is clearly hit by the projectile but does not take any damage from it.....

This is TAS video (as I said in the description of video in case you didn't read it). I'm not good at this game so I used save state option within MAME emulator. It means that when I died I just loaded saved state and re-recorded. So if player looks hit by some projectile and still survives it is because hitbox was missed and it's legit what can occur in game. Otherwise I would just re-recorded it. I have few videos like this on channel and I clearly stated that they are TAS, just like this one. Cheers.
In your description is also says, whole game finished with one coin...well yeah, because of TAS.....Cheers.....
