  • This is a look back at Suzuki's all-new RM125 for 1992. Controversially styled, the '92 RM125 was an excellent machine decked in bold attire.

This was my first new bike! I was 14 when my dad got it for me. I remember it was $3,200 at our local suzuki/kawasaki dealer. Thanks dad! 😊

Saved my money and bought a 92 rm250 at 16 years old, let me tell you this bike was twitchy in the air and power hit hard. I think I put a 16 oz flywheel to calm it down. The lower gave out end 93' spent 2k in repairs and sold it for 2k.. picked up 94 rm250 and dealer gave me a 94 rm125 raced both that year that was a blast!!

Suzuki marched to their own beat! Although I never liked the graphics/color schemeof the 91-92, it was pretty rare that an RM125 wasn't at or near the top of the handling heap. And they were usually pretty well suspended too. I got my first RM(83 RM 125) and was hooked on the slim light feel Suzuki seemed to almost always have. I wish the 90's era 250's had been more competitive in the power department. They were great handling and had that same familiar feel. Thanks for another great video!

Great video. Nothing more fun than a 125 2 stroke

I first big bike was a 92 RM125 with a PC pipe and silencer that I got used in 96. I thought it great as a 13 year old .

Somehow you held on to all those mags and I appreciate your CZcams videos and articles showcasing all the bike tests and cool stuff from 80’s & 90’s because I let my vast collection just slip away😭 You inspire me to keep my addiction alive to old school MX! Thanks for all the years of great info and memories!

Restoring mine right now. The graphics on Suzuki Rm's of '92 are almost as crazy as the Suzuki Gsxr's of the same year, which I also own. To say I love em would be an understatement. Thanks for the excellent videos!

I wish Suzuki still had that competitive drive for their moto / off road division like they did back in the 70’s, early 80’s, 90’s, and early 2000’s. I can give two 💩’s about their GSX line of bikes and their cruisers.

one of my favorite 90's bike. MY good friend bought one brand new in early 91. He used to race in Englishtown NJ. That bike had some nice power and my daily rider was a 1990 KX80 BW/Big and was one of the faster 80cc out of the big 4.

I really liked both the 1991 and 92's appearances. I would love to have a 92 RM and a 96 KX just he ause how unique they looked.

I remember that bike, my younger brother bought one, sorry but his number one complaint was the honda was faster, he bitched about servicing it too, i liked it, but thought what i always thought about rm's, they just made bursty snappy power in one spot, the honda's of the same era just kept pulling.

Love your vids. Could you do one on the XR650R, maybe talk some more about Honda's Baja dominance in years past the 600R at the hands of legends like Johnny Campbell? Could maybe talk about the 450x

Cool review, thanks! I had the '89 RM125 and loved it. Who is the rider #10 @13:53 please? They have a Team Losi sticker on the peak of their helmet which would imply also being active in RC car racing (Ron Lechien was a keen radio-control car racer IIRC, the hobby has a lot in common with MX)

I will not ever be woke enough to like that ugly @ss bike. I raced my friends and was a good bike minus suzukis dumb idea to make it ugly. Graphics on sidepanels makes no sense. So you have to pull stickers off a brand new bike to put numbers on. Smart. The one guy cooper rode in 91 he had the blue seat cover. It looked good. The 92 honda was about ugly as well with that ugly reddish faded looking pinkish color. I raced a 92 kx and i had a 93. Nice looking bikes. I also had a 92 yz250. They looked good as well with a different seatcover. I had a black and grey ceet nonslip seat cover with the kevlar kneebrace edges at the front. If i had that '92 suzuki i would peel all the graphics off and put on a blue or yellow seat cover and normal radiator graphics. Good to go
