HOI4 Timelapse - What if Italy had 1944 naval tech in 1936?

- A scenario where we will see if an advanced navy can make Italy a powerful Axis member. They are given every single naval tech at the start of the game. Let's see how they will put these 1944 ships to work!

Really interesting how this all ended. Instead of a strong Italy it seems like they were able to make Germany even stronger. I have never seen such a strong German AI like this before. It almost made a massive Steiner-comeback.

Germany endsieg oh my goodness!!! I really hoped that they'd make a full recovery it was awesome!!! If the AI was a little more skilled in encirclements it might've been a victory for sure

Well, we actually had that tech.
Our ships designs was innovative for the period. As inventors of the torpedoes, radio, frogmen, aerial warfare, etc, we already had that technology.
But fascists never used it. They had... "different ideas"...

Only technology! Did not replace old ships and did not replace ships under construction. It's really strange they didn't do better here.

How did Germany survive?
Probably because the Allies was focusing most of their efforts on the Soviet Union, and that used up a lot of their resources.

problem with this is that the AI only makes 1936 ships, they dont actuall use new naval tech apart from the passive buffs
It depends, I have seen the AI use late tech ships lots of times.
