I actually made a playlist with some of his songs in an order where I kinda found a story and I listen to it sometimes and pretend a musical of Bill Wurtz lmao. If y’all are interested, I can tell you guys the story I came up with lmao.
About a month ago, I recall he answered a question on his website that showed this comment and he said, " that is an important tool. there are other tools as well"
See, for most of his songs people are like "are you on drugs? is this song about drugs? no?" but then here in this song that's actually about it... I haven't seen a comment.
Hell yeah it is. Bill wurtz is very messy, but very few of what he says is actually random. I always feel like in his videos he is just trying to explain how he thinks / how his mind works. It's ironic really, that to most people his work is just random whatever. He's trying to explain but nobody gets it cause it's too goddam personal
I know the lyrics LITERALLY talk about drugs but... I feel like this song is more about masking in general, how getting used to it affects how much you trust into others when doing it and how much it drains you until you don't feel anything anymore.
Masking long term is actually very damaging to your psyche. You begin acting like them even when you don't want to and before you know it you don't know who you are at all. Let go of the mask any goddamn moment you can
I probably agree. Bill is definitely on the spectrum and often refers to the idea of "blending into society and doing it well" on his questions page. I'm sure he's had quite a journey of masking intensely and then letting it go, as we all have to do. If we don't give up masking all the time we'll waste away
It's the reason I was instantly hooked on his music. He's a wonderful musician but then he just spouts off random lyrics, but then they end up making perfect sense from an emotional standpoint...

Somehow this song gives me sadness. It makes me feel like Bill Wurtz was working tirelessly, with a life's worth of dedication, to elaborate his songs, and nobody would care. At the time he did this song, this was the case. All the professionalisms and colors in this song and everybody would overlook. I so relate to this. 😿

Can we get this on spotify??? I'd add it to at least 1 playlist, and I think others will do the same

Let's not make this the least viewed video on his channel
This and New Canaan. my soul food.
Holy shit that one moment where bill belts a high note. Wow
you actually made a full-length song? cool!!! :D
he's made like a bunch of them
I actually really like this.
The spend it all on drugs part makes me burst out in tears when you think about a person who has absolutely no hopes left in life
@@lampphoto that's because he becomes so soulless that he doesn't feel anything anymore. Sad
@@lampphoto the drugs part yes. By the time the no pain part comes on my tears are dried and I'm uncapable of feeling anything anymore.
it’s a shame this is the least viewed video on his channel because this song SLAPS
all of his songs slap
Ye
How do you know?
honestly one of his best songs and nobody knows about it
i actually enjoy all of your music
jesus this song is deep
Makes me miss my old Spookey Reuben cds. Sheer awesomazing!
You introduced me to Spookey Ruben, and will never be able to thank you enough for it.
I connect to this on a spiritual level
Hope this becomes a new music trend in the future
BILL LET ME CRY IN YOUR ARMS
Somehow this song gives me sadness. It makes me feel like Bill Wurtz was working tirelessly, with a life's worth of dedication, to elaborate his songs, and nobody would care. At the time he did this song, this was the case. All the professionalisms and colors in this song and everybody would overlook. I so relate to this. 😿
This song is actually not that bad
True
love your tunes bill. keep the goodgood going
God I love this song
Is sooo good and sooo stupid.
PERFECTION!
(kinda depressing if you Analize it properly)
is this still new 6 years later
this is bills darkest song
this needs a video soooo bad
also best part 1:29 - 1:42
"I came to try one smore"
"I'm gonna spend it all on drugs"
This explains alot.
Whoever said these are a call for help is right. There’s no more pleasure in anything? Whoa, this is getting bad.
