    @KatiushaVN4 Since toner formulations are heavily protected, the only source of identical toner is from Konica Minolta. If anyone advertises that they have identical toner in their kits, they are probably lying. The term "compatible" means that the toner will work in your printer, which it will. Emptying the hopper is not necessarily required with our toner. However, we have found that complaints due to poor quality disappeared once we included this step in our toner kit instructions.

    When I removed the metal bar there was two light film inserts under the roller connected to the black strip on the felt area of the metal bar. The toner now leaks from the bar when reinserted? What can I do to fix this? 2400w model

      Not at all. Unfortunately, at this time, we have no information on the 3730dn printer.

      For that model, you do need a chip, which we provide in our refill kit.

    Question? Do I have to be concerned about dumping out the old BLACK toner? I mean black is black, right? It's a Los Bravos hit song from the 60's.

    • @InkOwldotcom
      @InkOwldotcom  Před 9 lety

      Haha.
      To answer your question though, the reason for the dumping out is that the mixing of the original with the aftermarket powder when exposed to static electricity in the cartridge results in clumps which ruin the print quality, so called "toner contamination". Although aftermarket toner manufacturers closely match toners in terms of particle size, melting temperature, color, so that the powder works in the cartridge, it is really not possible to match the chemical composition of the brand-name toner powder to avoid this contamination. Thus, dumping out old toner is required on the first refill.

    2400w model no need to chip reset,how?

    • @InkOwldotcom
      @InkOwldotcom  Před 7 lety

      That is correct. The printer simply accepts the cartridge as is. The toner low alert stays active, but the printer works. You can optionally replace the chip if you wish to remove the toner low error.
