Physical Intellience. A concept I decided to use whilst philosophising about my practice and teaching. I see it as an orientation. Somewhere in which I will never reach, but can seek to work on each and every day.
It has been a fascinating project to be a part of. From late night voice notes, stumbling through ideas and verbage - to running around London in the rain trying to keep the mental ideas linked with how the physical work would be portrayed.
Also on a personal note, it's been a huge learning experience - one in which I'm super nervous to share. My first time being a part of such a professional and public presentation of... me. My work. My life. With all of the imperfections and self criticisms being put to bed. I realised along the way, I will always have something to critique. I can either let this continue to hold me back and stop doing; or simply embrace it and move though. This is part of the bigger picture - to be Physically Intelligent I see that I must embrace not run away from imperfections.
I am inspired each and everyday by various individuals, sharing their hard work and ideas, cuts and calluses. Sins and spots. I wish that this project is in some way an inspiration to you - not to judge yourself against, but to move forward in the face of adversity.
