    Thinking of design is not hard but as a coding student, the challenge is to code it correctly. I think this video has enough content to think about an ideal structure for professional looking website.

    I am using squarespace for my website, too AND am having a bit of trouble. Could you please tell me which template you used for your website? I love how your website has the blog side bar, and the full bleed index home page! Pleeassseee help.

      Hey Shanon! Yay, I'm excited to have you!! 🙌I am using Brine but I have "faked" my sidebar. You can do that (using regular blocks - spacer, text, image) BUT it gets a bit annoying when you want to update the info.
      Instead, I will be probably be purchasing this sidebar plugin: www.sqspthemes.com/plugins/sidebar-plugin
      You can get those two features built into Squarespace if you use the template Hayden. The only thing I don't like about that template is the ability to overlay whatever blocks I want on top of a banner.
      If you would like an easy step-by-step program to create a site just like mine (+ tech support from me), check out my online course: bit.ly/websitethatwows :)

    No secrets revealed here.
    The video title leads people to believe they'll get some layout /styling design tips.
    No chance from that one.

    its hard to make mine look good since im a photographer so my pics arent all the same "tone" and it always looks sorta messy with the colors :/

    • @louisehenry
      @louisehenry  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey! Could you "group" photos that have similar colour schemes, or when showcasing photos lay them out if they are similar in colour? If not, since you're a photographer, I wouldn't worry about it too much because you already have professional photos which is also important! 🙂

    First of all, hire an actual coder. Dont use the shitty overpriced website generators.
