The UK does not have zero gun violence. In 2020 and 2021, there were 5,709 firearm offenses recorded by police in England & Wales. (bit.ly/3Zr6YRJ)
As a Matter of fact, According to the Guardian, " Two in three police force areas in England and Wales are experiencing rising gun crime, with one force facing levels six times higher than a decade ago" (bit.ly/3GSAIzF)
While she's pointing fingers at America, asking how a 6-year-old get a gun, how about you take her behind back to the UK since you don't want to be here and ask them why
Children as young as 7 years old are caught with knives at school in the UK. (bit.ly/3IAX1eg)
or why in 2022, the total number of knife crime offenses committed by (10-17)-year-olds in England and Wales was 3,490.
I find it funny when people from the UK criticize American gun culture and act like they're the shining beacon of the world because they're subjects to their government.
In contrast, Americans are free citizens of our country.
The founders used their own guns to fight for the very freedom we have here in America to own guns the way we do because we didn't want to be like the UK.
We chose dangerous freedom; she prefers peaceful oppression.
It's only peaceful if the oppressors decide to be peaceful, so good luck with that.

*WE MOVED HERE TO YOUR COUNTRY BECAUSE IT WAS BETTER. WE BOUGHT A GUN. WE DIDN'T KEEP IT SAFE FROM OUR 6-YEAR-OLD.*
NOW we want to CHANGE YOUR COUNTRY to be MORE LIKE THE COUNTRY WE JUST LEFT.
It's seriously the same problem we see here from Californians and other commie state citizens moving to other states, then ruining those states by voting for the same crap that made the state/country they're fleeing from terrible in the first place.
If we allowed some teachers and principals and "school resource officers"(they should be police) to carry, mass shootings would happen a lot less and be a LOT less devastating.
P.s. you're the kind of citizen we want.
We don't want people coming here trying to change our country into the one they fled from.
We also don't want people fleeing from a bad state (like CA into a good state (like TX) and then trying to make the good state into the state they fled from.

We had guns in our house growing up, but they were in a locked gun cabinet, and we children didn't have access to the key.
We were taught how to use them, for my stepfather was an avid hunter. We respected firearms. You're right Colin, this was intentional, if the kid didn't have access, the kid would have used a knife or hammer.

My fiance is from greece and doesn't really understand americans when it comes to their guns, and she thinks guns should be banned. But i asked her how often she sees guns where she lives, and she admitted she sees them regularly, and mostly in the hands of criminals.
She also knows i own a few firearms and they are currently in storage. I asked her how many people my firearms have shot. Told her a gun is just a gun. When wielded properly, its a force for good. When wielded improperly, it can be calamatous.

I lived in the UK for about 1.5 years. Things are just different there. They basically see guns as shotguns or non-shotguns. You must get a certificate for any gun and it's usually issued by the Local Chief officer of that area. He also renews it. If you live in a rural area or on a farm, a certificate for a shotgun is pretty easy to get because the the local CO knows the area and people. If you live atop a two story flat in downtown London, you will need to show an active membership to a skeet shooting club or something. Rifles and handguns require similar justification for certificates.
One of their biggest issues ... undeclared guns. There are lots of them.
It's been many years since I lived in the UK, so forgive me if much has changed. I attended the RA while living at Yorkshire Terrace, just south of Regents Park and Marylebone.

Teacher probably trying to convince the kid that they were gay or transgender and then forced the class to watch tranny prawn. A real issue is during the millennial generation is when divorce rates and single motherhood and step parents exploded. Alot of people, mostly, women, genuflecting about how they dont spank or hit their child. Now we have this population of whiney, gynocentric, believe feelings from the constant sales pitch of liberal agenda over reality of life and take responsibility. left a gun where the kid got hold of it. That is utter stupidity and neglectfully
criminal and it's end result was the shooting of an innocent teacher.
Yes, freedom is great but if you are on the receiving end of a stupid
person exercising their so called freedoms and are hurt by
them it isn't so great anymore. This is her real point in this rant.
But I disagree with her on the point that she tries to make about
violence in the UK. Yes, less gun violence but what about the
beatings and knifings that go on every day there. It does not
matter what you are killed or hurt with, you are still either dead or
in hospital whether it's a gun, knife, club or fists that harm you.
But, stupid people and guns do not make a good mix.
Stupid inconsiderate people and freedom combine to
cause a societal knee jerk reaction to create new
restrictive laws when ever innocent thinking people
are hurt. This could have been totally prevented if the
person's guns were secured in a way the child had
absolutely no access to them. Why some people
especially with children, do not lock
up guns when not in use is beyond me. This should

Our firearm crime here in the UK is still mostly carried out with handguns, which were banned in the mid 90's. Most of our guns are in the countryside, but the gun crime usually is in the cities. 50% of our "gun crime" is non-offences against the person (usually licencing lapses/failing to disclose an illness/inheriting a firearm etc), the other 50% is nearly ALL in the city streets and gang-related. It is so unbelievably rare that an offence against a person, with a firearm, is carried out by a lawful owner. Total UK offences for firearms a year, around 6000. Total knife offences in London ALONE for the same year, bout 17,000.

    • @Br3ttM

Most violent crime in the US is gang related, too, but for some reason, actually dealing with the gangs doesn't have the political support that just taking away whatever weapons they use, then letting them go find another weapon. As a result, the UK has knife and even acid attacks. In the US, middle school kids are running around the streets at night with older teens, and committing gang-related attacks, and the gun gets blamed, instead of the parents, or a legal system that won't prosecute for anything short of homicide. It's not going to end until we cut off the gangs' funding, through fighting organized crime, and ending the "war on drugs" in favor of something that actually works.

Because over 5000 gun crimes with 1/6th the population of the U.S. means that if they had the same number of citizens as we do, they'd have over 30k gun crimes per year.
That hardly sounds anywhere NEAR gun crimes not being a problem!

She said that first period is basically eliminated because if a student arrives at 7:00, which is 15 minutes BEFORE school starts, they can expect to be waiting in the metal detector line for about an hour, until 8:00. First period starts at 7:15, and goes till 8:10.

I work in Newport News, and live about 20 minutes away in Yorktown. The problem 100% is, as you stated in the video, the environment that is around these children. This is the 7 cities area of VA, Newport News, Hampton, Norfolk, VA Beach, etc. There is a lot of crime in the inner city areas where most of the gun control is enacted (yeah, VA is set up so that municipalities can determine whether they want to allow open carry, etc).
