The New Prado J250 Series takes us back to the roots,but adds comfort and elegance to the well known legend.
Initially in our market Kenya we sold VX-L and TX-L but that has now been replaced by Adventure plus and All Rounder Hi respectively. Starting price here in Kenya is Ksh17,420,000/- Vat Inclusive.
The engine has a Turbo charger and
is 2.8L Diesel Engine Automatic 8 speed.
Seating Capacity is 7, and is 4WD
Fuel system is Diesel common rail .
Maximum power is 150Kw and Maximum Torque is 500Nm.
It has 4 cylinders inline and the front suspension is double wishbone while rear suspension is Multilink.

This new Prado shape is very ugly and looks like FJ Cruiser or the OLD defender.The back looks like an old car from the 80s.I still prefer the 2018 Prado model as its full of class and statemanship.This new prado is for use in the Jungle or rough roads.DOES NOT Look good in the city at all
@BlaqStar4524 I agree, 💯. If I was to get one, the outgoing 150 is the true Prado. I will be getting that. This one looks like Toyota just forced the name Prado on it. It lacks class. It is not as diplomatic as the model it is replacing.
The spare is at the bottom not the back of the door-so how will you go offroading when the tyre blocks the car below?? The older model was better

You can't even do a facelift for this box. Something that made Prados stand out and remain in style with every upgrade of head lamps. They dropped the teardrops, then the flickers and now back to a tractor looking headlamps like the old metallic torches 😂😂. Be serious people!
I have loved this new model. Many have been buying facelifted prado with huge sum of money🤣🤣

@@andrewnamoloolubala8273 yeah facelift gives us good business because VIP transport is more about looks than this box looking designs used in Landrovers. That is why no SUV does more weddings in Kenya than Prados.

When I saw her first video, I was amazed to find out we have this in Kenya already. I knew it would hit 10 m at least, the taxation in kenya is outrageous. The markup price for this in the US market crazy. It's hard to find one and you have to wait.

Not everyone shares your opinion. I've watched reviews of this vehicle on channels from other regions and countries and most people loved it. I even read the comments.
Most people who buy these vehicles don't go to the extreme off road that they are built for. The farthest many people go are places where even a RAV4 can go.
It is understandable that you prefer the Prado's with the tire on the tailgate because of the advantages you've already mentioned.
But, with all due respect, vehicles aren't designed for you alone or the few others that I've seen so far that are unwelcoming to this redesign. And, not everyone is seeking to look like a politician on the road!!
You totally ignore the other upgrades like electric powered steering that does away with that old hydraulic system and a more modern interior look with a better infotainment system. The surround view and rear cameras are a huge improvement from the horrendous quality of the other Prado's. They even added more USB ports. The other one had just one😢
If it looks like an adult probox, just so you know, no one will mistake it for a probox!!
My only problem would be it's current retail price but that's to blamed on our government, not Toyota.

Actually majority of Prado owners were complaining that the outgoing model was not rough and tough enough. The Prado is still a Landcruiser and still needs to do the rough stuff and not only be seen at malls and school car parks

@@BlaqStar4524 the tyre on the back design has been discontinued by Toyota on its flagship SUVs. The design had disadvantages. As for the fuel tank, after market accessory manufacturers are already making a plan on how to install long range fuel tanks on this new model
@@howardnyika966 The older model was better for off roading because the Tyre was at the back therefore more space under the car for rocks.The older model also had 2 fuel tanks and/or space for another tank.So this model is still worse for offroading.why go after market when the older model could have all that and still look better than this OVERSIZED PROBOX? That is how Toyota has lost the market for weddings. Such an ugly looking design. What happened to the "if it isn't broken don't fix it" mantra? I would rather spend on double cabin for off road if functionality is all that these models offer. Then the dashboard looks worse. What the heck! Time to stock the 150 series before these ugly models flood the market. Who will hire this thing for a wedding? Which politician will hire this to make a statement of class during campaigns, with a vehicle that looks like world War II infantry van? Goodness!!!
