This sounds like an actual game, not a minecraft mini game. Especially not a survival one without commands!
This is a real board game. It is called CLANK!
But genuinely i would play a board game of decked out
Minecraft Dungeons!
You never know I mean you can do a whole lot of stuff with Redstone in fact you can even make a computer with Redstone which by using that you can also make a command block with Redstone so you never know
I wanna play it
"When they enter the dungeon they will be naked"
Sounds like a... Different type of dungeon lol

Tango: It'll take about a month to complete.
Me, two years later after watching Tango work on DO2 for the last like 6 months: aww, how cute!
This being the biggest project has changed quick!
Everyone laughing about Tango and Etho building the gaming district and then Tango going and building his first game in the shopping district... This game is the size of the entire gaming district!! Plus he wants to control mob spawns, and who wants their game being blown up by a creeper?
Also mad props Tango, I'm seriously impressed by your vision.
what if it is a game which is mobs vs players?
@@ad-skyobsidion4267 but it isn't--
Its under the shopping district lik you said.. mobs dont spawn in a mooshroom biome except mooshrooms :)
I agree, but it's still funny.
Doesn't grian own that land
A couple things:
- I would pay the legitimate cost of a video game just for a world download of your minigame
- Blizzard Entertainment called, they want their developer back
yes
Well that aged **bad**
Tango: *Makes a Gaming District*
Also Tango: This game will be below the Shopping District
Exactly what i thought
Man you beat me to it
Because he needs it to be dark for the Ambience. And mobs don't spawn in the shopping district because it's a mooshroom biome.
He said on his latest stream when he was digging the dungeon hole out with ImpulseSV that it was too big for the gaming district, and also the shopping district is the central point so it is the most likely to be visited.
@@brookeschurman365 also, his dungeon is very dark and mooshroom Island is the only place where mobs won't spawn in the dark. If he created it in gaming district he'd have to light it and lose all the atmosphere
"This is my biggest project"
Little did he know what would come a few years later with the sequel
watching after decked out is complete:
"they come in with only a pick" haha no
"and there are 2 ravagers" make it 5
the rest seems to stay pretty much the same! impressive the design was so consistent during development
Ikr! I see this after it's been fully played and I realised just now how much work went into this game, and it's gonna be the first thing I do in the world download.

Also Tango: Makes his biggest game in the Shopping District
That was basically going to be my exact comment lol
Well his new game takes up so much space which the new gaming district doesn't have.
@@dominic4645 No, it's mostly because of the mob spawning. In a mushroom island, mobs don't spawn, even in dark places. He wants to make the labyrinth dark and spooky, and not have to worry about prevention of mob spawns.
And he wants to hide the shulkerboxes in the shopping district

I think you should have a “donations” chest or something somewhere. This game is tons of work and I think you’d deserve some donations haha
He’s probably going to charge diamonds to enter like in demise and those diamonds would become the prize pool or something
@@advaybajpai7940 Nope, he won't do that. He said it on stream.

Came back to rewatch this after getting hyped up by Zedaph's first test runs of Decked Out 2, and all I can think is....that's such a SMALL HOLE. I don't think that's even HALF the size of DO2! 🤯 Truly, Tango is a mad genius who leaves me in awe.
use redstone to open and close doors in the dungeon. this just leads to more of a unique experience every time so they can't memorize the dungeons patters as easily
Yes that would be awesome
He explained in streams that he IS indeed gonna change things around and have redstone secret passageways and other map adjusting redstone
Close off certain hallways and open others, to create inconsistency. :)
@Samuel Spitzer nice idea.
And a card ability, "Pathfinder," which makes the maze more simple.

@@genrblox1552 2:23 on the wall
I saw it
Coming back to this during Season 9, it is absolutely insane how far this game has evolved from the original idea
Since leaving suggestions in the stream is really hard, here I go :P
- a card called like thief or lockpicking which gives you access to doors which would otherwise be locked
- The open spaces in your dungeon layout you could maybe fill with small treasure rooms or cells which hold monsters for intensifying purpose
- A 'dumb luck' card or smtn like that which gives you a random item at the start which could be good but could also be a stick or smtn
Great ideas! I especially like the idea of "dumb luck" lol
Nice!
Tango, if you are reading this, you could use a custom music disk like grian did for the mumbo for mayor songs to explain the game to the hermits.
@lole lole he's using a book and quill i think
There's also room for a resistance and regen beacon card. I'd call them *Stalwart* and *Vigor* respectively.
Also *Alchemist* to make the treasure chests that the loot card uses sometimes contain random buff potions. Could pop a speed boost potion when you see a ravager instead of having to depend on the beacon being active, or use night vision to better search for loot and stuff.
I also think there could be negative cards that you can take, like *Loud* to increase the chances of generating clank if you want to be able to see the ravagers from further away, simply wanted the challenge, or it could have a side effect of earning you emeralds if you survive the run.
Me: wow, this is super complicated
Tango: But wait, there’s more
I absolutely love how, despite a relative lack of visible progress with what is happening in the episode, Tango's genuine enthusiasm towards his creation makes me so happy and is so engaging that the video loses no quality, love you sm Tango, keep being you
8 hours of digging was all I could muster. Much more progress next vid!
Tango Tek You did enough to give us a visual of what you are working on and how you are building from there. Then you built example rooms, hallways, decks, scorecards... I’d say you did plenty!

ARTIFACT IDEA: Temporarily edit your skin’s head to depict cool artifact designs. Have Zed kill you a ton to get your heads aka artifacts. Rinse and repeat for different sets.
Since now the skin problem is fixed, it's a very very good idea!!! But the game is almost finished, I don't know if he'll do it

This game is a *one-of-a-kind!* And when the game starts, it’s about to be the most legendary thing ever
Hey, aren’t you the guy that commented on a WhyJake “Cursed Comments 15”
I just looked at that cause your reply pumpkin guy, but yes
Would be cool to give the artifacts a specific weight for example:
Common: 0.5
Uncommon: 1
Rare: 4
Unique: 6
And every loot chest can only carry between 7-15 weight. With that, you can distribute the artifacts in a way that they are equal yet still maintaining the randomness. Some Hermit may get one Unique and 2 common artifact in the loot chest or get a variety of all the artifacts.
I would also like to suggest changing the artifacts into random items that are uniquely named rather than color coded. For example, a black dye named Mumbo's First Mustache, or a feather named Poultryman's Sheddings with a corresponding symbol that signifies its classification in the rarity system. ie. Skull for rare artifact, Smiley for common. In this way, the collect em' all feature of the game is random and a different experience for every other hermit!
The most legendary thing ever, bruh you have a sad life @zeytrixx
Yeah

@Aditya Agarwal how
dream has nothing to do with hermitcraft
@Aditya Agarwal the seed has nothing to do with the stuff that was built in the world. The hermitcraft seed is out already
@Aditya Agarwal Just because you have the seed doesn't mean you get the stuff that was build in the world. The seed will just generate the world that they had at the start of the season. That's all a seed is.
Just a possible idea: Perhaps you could do an under water section with prismarine and such.
NOT THE UNDERWATER LEVEL!
That’s what I was thinking! And maybe you actually have to go under water to get into some rooms and if you have a certain card like “Aqua Lungs” you can have a conduit or something.
Escape room!
Maybe an underwater boss like guardian
Use warped wood for different features as well
Idea: You can make a potion room where there will be ingredients on the wall in item frames and they can choose one potion that might help them in the dungeon progression.
for example there might be a room that is 1.5 blocks higher and they need to make a leaping potion to get into there.
Or there might be a reward to cure a zombie villager (killing it might be forbidden)
or there might be a fall that could kill you but you make a slow falling potion to get to that room.
Great idea!
I agree
Because this game needs more things added to it.....
Potions might be a little op, if you get strength you might be able to one on one a Ravager. Especially if you are False, Etho or Iskall.
Underrated
Coming back here to watch this after I got into Tango's channel in a later episode.
Man, Decked Out was refined A LOT during construction, and definitely for the better.
It's very interesting to see how the game changed from the og ideas
Could you imagine if someone created a modded server for Decked Out
? Literally an entire server full of dungeons, hidden compases, and trading halls where you can not only trade artifacts, but also the cards. And if you could challenge someone through a dungeon, winner takes whatever card they want from the other.
OH, and the top players get to battle it out every week in something like S6 Ravager Run or something
Azazn Chan I wish I could code minecraft plugins and mods I really want to make a dungeons server but it's not possible at the moment unfortunately
isn't Tango master of mods. maybe if this is successful, he can you know...
Its called hermit quest ;p
That's not even not even a server idea: that's a flipping anime plot!
Vechs tried to. No clue if he still is running the server but he designed all the super hostile maps, he created a an entire server of resetting dungeons and stuff like that.
Suggestion: Instead of having completely empty loot chests, have “junk” items that affect the game little if at all. This will help ensure that players know that the chests are loot chests and not decorations.
Unenchanted crappy leather armor! Or maybe a wooden sword to quote on quote fight the ravagers. Lol
yea i was thinking there could be some armour or swords which the player can use to be stronger against any monsters they encounter.
Watching this after it's finished. Your vision came true, TT. Your hard work paid off. It is even better than you speculated it would be.
Hermitcraft continues to amaze me and my god Tango deserves like. idk man, a standing ovation or something because this is NUTS and he put so much work and design into it and it turned out SO FANTASTIC. being able to "program" the game???? you could add daily sidequests - maybe in form of a sphinx, or a dungeonmaster, who will ask the hermits in the main hall to fulfill additional tasks. The first hermit to fulfill the task of the day/week gets additional goodies/ low tier artifacts
the tasks might be:
- return with x skeleton heads.
- find some misterious gem, that is hidden at a random open spot
- save the two foxes, that run loose in the dungeon
- press the randomly hidden buttons to turn on the generator
- kill the zombie-villager
etc.
I like this!
@Tango Tek your game sounds really fun I wish I could play so I will wait patiently for the world download at the end of the season. Love your vids :)

I've been reminded of why minecraft is a really great game, you can literally make a game out of it beyond what it is intended to be.

@@slevinchannel7589 They're playing as legit as possible. Tango and Xisuma are server admins and _can_ use commands if absolutely necessary (like a game-breaking server bug wipes everyone's inventories, or the 1.16 update forces the world back to peaceful and wipes all nametagged hostile mobs), but they try their best to avoid doing so, for fairness. Meaning, no command blocks.
Well he did it with just restone
To make diamonds u should have a “ATM” to trade diamonds for the decked out currency. You should also have a store to sell low level or starter decks/cards
Micro micro transactions
Ben Bogias it would only be starter and low level cards to give u a start
Pay to win would ruin the point
Idea: What if you made parts of the dungeon open or close randomly with etho timers or maybe daylight sensors. That way Hermits couldn't always return to the same place every time.
Random dungeon keys could also unlock specific sections of the dungeons for additional loot or challenges.
I like the random dungeon keys, certain doors that can be only opened with a card from the deck, and the idea of having the arena change based around time would keep the game so fun, great ideas guys
Edit: actually etho timers would be so good too, so that the dungeon always changes, almost like a labyrinth
so it’ll be like the maze runner
Sounds like the labryth from Greek mythology
Came here to say the same, make moving corridors l door ways so dungeon scrambles itself every time someone enters to make it new and make people want to play repeatedly
You could totally have Cleo put mannequins of each hermit in front of their scoreboard! That way its not just heads and might give the room a more homey feel for the hermits :)

It’s interesting seeing how the game was built and the early ideas for it
It's crazy how when you watch this episode, and then the episodes where he builds the game and changes his mind on certain aspects, you realize how different the game became as it was built.
Instead of giving them a pickaxe, you could give them a key somewhere else in the maze that you have to insert somewhere for the treasure to reveal or an iron pick with like two durability (one for the surface block and one for the loadstone) so they have to be super careful with what they mine. Then the chances that they get at the game would become even more precious. But either it sounds like an AMAZING game!!!
Yeah, this sounds like a really good idea
I was thinking the same low durability idea
Good idea, hope he sees it.
maybe just give them golden picks to actually represent limited durability
How about this: You should still give players a pickaxe, but it would be a wooden (early-game) or golden (late-game) pickaxe with only a few uses remaining. However, depending on the player's deck, the pickaxe may be enchanted with Unbreaking and/or Efficiency, allowing players to search for treasure faster and longer, provided they can make it through.
Some card ideas if you want: heavy hitter (strength) -
Commando (night vision) - locksmith (opens certain secret shortcut passageways) - frost feet ( makes all water turn to ice so basically frost Walker boots) - guardian angel ( a super rare card that's only comes one that gives you a 2nd life with a totem of undying) - Enlightening (stops the spawners from spawning the zombies and skeletons) - bulletproof (disables any arrow shooting dispensers) - sharp ears (triggers a series of note blocks hinting the players at the location of a treasure)
Originally commented as a reply
Locksmith and night vision (I guess through additional lamps being lit) make the most sense out of all of them. Strength is useless unless he adds a fight mechanic. Frost feet makes no sense in a dungeon unless there is a sink hole or something. If you get killed by a ravager and use the totem of undying, you're almost certainly just going to get insta-gibbed by the same ravager again, which limits the utility and value of the totem -- maybe it could be a low tier item, but making it the holy grail seems silly considering how little that would add to the game.

Could you imagine?!
I initially thought the dungeon would have multiple floors, but after listening to the explanation i guess about 2/3 of that hole will need to be redstone.
Yeah, I have no idea how he will fit in everything he needs
Jshsnipa he can probably dig out more if he needs room for redstone
That is true, but some things need to be close to the actual dungeon, items have to be distributed to the different barrels, it needs to decide whether the item goes in based on the level of card, it will need to be able to be remotely filled, extracted if not found and sent back to a collection area. Their may be more but that is only for ONE BARREL. He has a lot of work to do unless he creates an incredibly smart system that I didn’t think of
Everyone here wants to see this get built (I even subscribed just to see it), but this is a massive project. To make this the best game ever you should get all of the other hermits and their communities involved. Extra help with ideas, digging building, redstone etc would help make this project fantastic! I have an idea, why not have the pathways change every time someone plays?
You can use pistons and some kind of randomizer to close certain paths, and open others.
You could even have a card that increases the amount of paths that are open.
Without the card, the path will always be maze like, full of dead ends. But even with the card paths will still be randomized.
This way you can't just memorize where a good room is and go there.
just like in maze runner,right?
He needs to remove stuff not add it, the scope on this is incredibly huge. As much as you want to just add stuff always in game dev you can't :/ he probably won't be done with this for a couple months if he ads everything
@@chanceslaughter3237 randomised hallways have been done multiple times before, it shouldn't be too hard I reckon.
Also, the concept of a completely randomized labyrinth is hard because he will need room for redone clocks and a lot of other complications, also I agree with sluaghter32 that it is already unbelievably complicated and doesn't need to be more complicated. Idea: Timed Doors
- at the start of every round, some rooms may only be accessible for a short amount of time.
- Some rooms you can barely enter, some you'll need a more powerful card to enter rooms because they're farther.
- these rooms contain 2 or 3 shulkers depending on it's difficulty to be entered. The shulker boxes contain a decent or good artifact, card, or any material but if they pick it, the other ones disappear.

-Health: gives resistance 1 and regen from a beacon to better help survive the ravagers. More often the higher the level.
-Parkour Master: have parkour over lava, each level of parkour master gives addition blocks to make the jumps easier.
-Mob Slayer: opens up a path through the room where the skeletons/zombies spawners are active which contains extra loot. Not sure what higher levels do.
-Hero of the Dungeon: allow emeralds to be brought into the dungeon and used to buy access to additional areas. This card gives discounts on the cost to enter. The higher the card the better the discount.
-Speedrunner: finish the dungeon in X amount of time (can be programmed to a fast but doable time for the current dungeon, the higher the card the faster the time but the better the loot) for a bonus or better prize
-Snowball: get snowballs that can be used to hit the new target blocks to unlock secret areas or potentially knockback enemies.
I was also thinking of some kind of card that makes the dungeon harder like introducing more enemies but you get better loot if you succeed, but I’m not sure the best way to implement it.
Hopefully you like one or two of these, and pick whatever name you want or exactly how they work, just some ideas I had.
Edit:
Other ideas
-Have traps like arrow traps that stealth can prevent from activating (stealth currently does seem weak compared to some of the others but we'll have to see what happens once it's built)
-I saw a suggestion for an underwater section, that leaves the opportunity for a card that gives something like a respiration 3 aqua affinity leather helmet or maybe even a turtle helmet so you don't have to stop at the air pockets.
-There's also a lot of potential for more specific loot cards like cards that increases the chances of getting a rarer artifact, or getting multiple artifacts, you mentioned one for better cards but maybe a option to get a bigger selection like of 5 or 6 cards at the end. Also maybe you could pay emeralds to refresh the card options.
-You could have to throw some kind of token into a hopper that moves a piston revealing the loot chest or spits out the loot instead of mining the block for the loot. This would be good to do if you can find good places to hide hoppers like under carpets, soul sand, half slabs, etc. because I can see hermits being a couple blocks off and tearing up a bunch of the floor if they're not super careful, plus your loadstones won't be taken, just go in the access tunnels under the dungeon and move them to their new location, and you won't have to worry about supplying pickaxes and parts of the dungeon being broken.
-I saw your demo room had a lectern, hide cards on the lecterns for hermits to find/take. Alternatively, it can contain instructions to more hidden loot.
-Don't forget the classic room behind the painting trick, that's always fun and if the painting blends in with the room, I bet most won't even notice.
-Aside from the mentioned changes in what rooms are accessible, the walls should shift every runthrough or even during a runthrough to change the order of rooms or even change which rooms are accessible.
That doesnt sound like cards but still cool
these sound really cool
i really like the harder dungeon, better loot idea
@@pigit7526 Some of them are similar to what he had. Others I branched out a bit because there's only so many options if you're trying to have similar cards and I think he's going to need a large variety of cards. Thanks though.
Takes some serious dedication to write all this....
I'd make it a once or twice a week thing, not every day. Both so you don't have to spend tons of time moderating the game and so the Hermits can spend their time doing their own projects instead of staying on top of the game. That way not every video has a Decked Out section so it won't become boring.
This
Underrated comment
Well most hermits only upload one or twice a week anyway so it might be up to the hermits themselves not tango.
Now that Decked out is finished, as someone watching 5 different hermits, I can assure you that having a Decked out session in every episode ain’t boring at all. The game is just too good and seeing different ways of playing and different reactions is awesome
I’d never watched these the making of decked out episodes, but now that tango’s coming close to finishing Among Us I figured I would go back. Getting a decked out section in every episode was honestly a highlight the entire time the game was open and I so hope the hermits play among us as often as some of them played decked out

@@TangoTekLP Thank you Tango😮
I will approve of this
oh that’s genius
@@TangoTekLP Could also make a secret section of dungeon only accessible by being launched by a ravager. Perhaps a dark abyss you assume you cant get past
THIS HAS ME SO EXCITED! Tango this is gonna be insane. I think a room with a Johnny and some loot would be a neat concept. Have like a level 3 card in a chest in the room and you have to sneak past him, so you'd have to buy like an invis potion to get to it. Maybe it should be like a hallway with a few of em so the potion is 100% needed to get through
Yah
great idea but he said you can’t have anything besides a pick, so maybe potions wouldn’t be allowed
ZKAaR Z maybe have a shop in game to buy things from
You should add walls that pop up randomly at the beginning of the game the make it more replayable and becomes an actual rouge-like. That way some places become inaccessible or harder to get to and some places become easier to get to.
Watching this after the game has come out and been (more or less) finalized. It's crazy to see where this all started and how the details were different

Card idea: Potion Master, would start you off with a random potion at the start of the dungeon. Better levels give you better/longer potion effects.
Amazing to see how the decked out has changed over the years

Tango: Apologizes for explaining his game.
Me: Having the time of my life.
Same here, this episode was great!
Same. This minigame makes me wish I was a hermit! Lol
Honestly him explaining this made me super excited!
Give the artifacts a specific weight for example:
Common: 0.5
Uncommon: 1
Rare: 4
Unique: 6
And every loot chest can only carry between 7-15 total weight.
In this way, the collect em' all feature of the game is random and a different experience for every other hermit!
yung jose I don‘t think that’s what weight means
@@aryan6201 describe what you mean
@@aryan6201 in this context weight doesnt mean physical weight.
@@yungjose3369 nice idea !
@@myckeli in minecraft, 'weight' is used in loot tables, and the more weight something has, the more frequent it is. So to match minecraft loot tables logic, unique items should be 0.5 weight, and common items should be 6 weight
Idea: Every time a dungeon run is started, there should be a large special room somewhere in the dungeon, maybe on the outside of the dungeon. And in this room, there should be an artificial boss room. This is not something like just a normal wither fight or a ravager or a piglin brute. But its a boss made out of blocks(example: maybe like a giant build zombie). You stand on a platform and you shoot the at the boss's weakpoints. The weakpoints be can buttons that are hit with arrows,(or target blocks with snowballs). The boss can attack you on the platform by maybe using arrows coming from walls on the side of the arena. Or you could use the zombie monster spawned and release a few every 30 seconds onto the platform. You can also put a health bar with redstone lamps to represent health. Once the boss dies, all the attacks from it stop, and a door opens to exit the boss(btw, once you enter the boss room, you cant leave). Perhaps the boss drops can be unqiue artifacts from different sets or maybe like an undead set? Idk if these boss idea is cool, and idk if you read this. But if you do, I really appreicate it. Thanks for coming to my ted talk!

What if, instead of breaking the blocks to get to the lodestone, you make a piston contraption missing the button to activate, and the player needs to put the button (or lever) to activate the contraption, and the piston make a hole to access the loot. This way you have less maintenance work to do.
Also, if the player abuse this mechanic, trying to put the button and activate everywhere, some places could make *the noise* if it's not the right spot.

Love this!!
I saw Etho play this recently and I loved it! So I came here to watch you build it from the start :) I’m really impressed at how fleshed out a game you were able to make IN MINECRAFT, literally inside another game
This game sounds awesome, and hearing him talk about it only got me more hyped for it. Can not wait to see the final product. But I just wanted to make one suggestion, there should be a arena mode or option, where you either fight mobs or players. Also maybe needing certain perks to get past something, like lava or an underwater maze. Maybe you can do this with armor or potions. On that maybe a class of cards can let you have potions, but only a certain amount and they can't wear armor. Anyway, I love this idea and I can't wait to see it on the HermitCraft season 7 world.
"Decked Out: the only five-genres-in-one game on the Hermitcraft server."
Tango: Makes a dungeon game in Minecraft
Minecraft Dungeons: Am I a joke to you
1. Trapped chests are a way to spice things up, Maybe you can even encounter a road thats splits into 2 different roads. Can make it less repetitive for peeps.
2. Merchants in the beginning or in the middle of the dungeon can sell items at an inflated price. Maybe some items you can just use only in the cerrent run, like potions.
3. Some sort of risk-reward type machine. Maybe bet some coins for a chance to get a potion.
4. An optional mini boss for people who want even more risk-reward
5. Maybe a system that when you clear the dungeon. You do it again, but on EXPERT MODE. Like, 1 hp or blindness. If you die, you lose the progress on both runs.
If you read this Tango remember not to take this game lighty. It seems like you want to create a REALLY big game, but damn if this works out. I and probably many others will enjoy the CRAP out of watching it.
Good luck
