I needed to watch this to get motivated for recording thanks Cribs
Really good documentary this, a lot to be learned from watching it, especially for anyone wanting to make a record, but also about making music in general. I love Cribs documentaries almost as much as the music
are there others?
We're trying to write a new album at the moment, and this was hugely inspiring and very helpful. Cheers, guys!
Thoroughly enjoyed that lads! You all come across very well and dedicated to your art. I've always felt a kinship with you, and have had the pleasure of your live experience and company several times; this just adds to that. Good on yer and respect from a West Yorkshire brethren.
“I’m really precious about this guitar”
“This is the second time the headstock snapped off”
lol
One of the best record doccos around
great video! really impressed with Ross recording the record with a broken wrist. cheers to you. 🍻
This was excellent, thanks for sharing✌🏻
A fender “jag ooo uaaar” but it’s been like modified and has humbuckers in it.. I’m like it’s the Kurt jag yeah? Haha I love this band. ❤
2:10. Haircut.
Only the Cribs.
:)
The best band in the world
42:13 I'm guessing Gary was doing the end of 'Save Your Secrets' there
indie legend with the Line 6 Spider, now that's new.
That was a fun watch. Inspiring!
Subtitulado español please..!! :c
Fantastic stuff lads
I remember there was a recording session of MNWNW, but I can't find it anywhere!
You mean 'Leave Too Neat' documentary?
No, that's a different one. The one I'm talking about happened inside the recording studio in Canada. They had this candy backboard to complete the songlist of the album and you can see them recording "Be Safe" with Lee Ranaldo.
Answered you about 2 weeks ago but can't see my comment now. Anyway search 'The cribs iCast' on CZcams. This must be it.
Oh, and take a look to another version of 'I'm a Realist' in episode 5 played by Gary. Really shame they don't include it in any release.
Thank you! That's the one I was looking for :D
I cant be the only on thinking what was the actaul point in having johnny marr in the band for a year. Like when you watch them play live together it just seems like Ryan's playing all the main riffs and johnny just supplying a few arpeggios and that
those arpeggios make all the difference....atleast to me
I agree. I much prefer it as just the 3 brothers. Although they do have another guitarist on stage with them sometimes now but to me they’re at their best as a 3 piece, musically, creative and live
For the laffs
The point was that he helped them make a record. It's refreshing, you have someone new to break the usual pattern. And it's Johnny Marr no less. For me it's their best one, but I guess it's not for everyone. And live he did more than a few arpeggios here and there. You just have to listen more carefully. It was never going to be forever, they just made a record that's different from the other ones. Their last one is different too.
underrated as fuck
Sounds like the Stone Roses at the beginning...
That's what i was thinking. Elements of 'she bangs the drums' in that little bassline.
Song at 4:25?
Save Your Secrets
Things to do.Washing up.
Anyone else triggered by them using Line 6's for rehearsals
Not really. It’s just a rehearsal space they go to knock about ideas, I imagine they keep all their good gear in a more safe secure lock up with other touring bands like Music Bank. Anyway Line 6 ain’t too bad, well nowadays anyway. Loads of well known musicians are using the Helix.,
