It's said that when a band is huge and skilled the fans will get it quickly; that's right the rule The Cribs always hover around, they started off as a normal indie band, several other artists were building up this new subgenre and at that time it wasn't foreseeable to plan a specific setlist or to take important decisions about a continuation or a break-up! Therefore some of the artists born around that style had to quit music industry after the debut album or two works, the cost for the improvement and for keeping the band interested wasn't equally bearable, splitting up is what someone looked for and it determined a no longer wastage of sources! Instead some other bands succeeded in the exhibitions, they reached a reasonable and coherent range of fans and they happily got a decent reaction from the critics, somehow they impressed the listener and they carved a solid message into his head. That's the reason why these had the chance to soldier on and to dare supplying a new record and experiencing some new sounds; that was like challenging themselves and testing the strength of the band itself! The bands that took this path are still alive although they're not as naive and childish as formerly. The Cribs didn't have this idea of a long and perhpas endless journey; I presume they had predicted to put out a few records and to gain some money but when they figured out that it was turning into a job and a full time activity they automatically left out the other aims for a near future, thus the leap into the music business for an expression of life and personality! Indeed you set out instruments for a sort of joke but all of a sudden you grasp that an akin activity might be the motivation and the source of earning for you, it might also be the agreement with your soul and the main key of self-acknowledgement. I'm talking nonsense because you can easily understand what a good band picks up and what energy is conveyed on stage, how you literally burn the stage and how the fans demonstrate allegiance and devotion to your style! It's particularly addictive how a band looks at someone's eyes, a band is always suitable for your ears if you grew up with its initial albums and you felt struck by the tone of them. At your eyes it'll be correct and worthwhile whatever the band spawns over the years, it'll sound as creative as in the past and no one will take you off that worship.

I love, love love the cribs, they are one of my favorite bands ever, but man they suck live
Yeah, haven't heard many of their live sets but the guitarist isn't very tight with it here in my opinion. The drummer is the best live player from what I've seen here...
