Why Zelda: Twilight Princess Has the *BEST* Vibes

Twilight Princess is my favourite Zelda game for a few reasons. One of those is the topic of this very video. The atmosphere and vibes of this game are like no other entry in the series. So today I want to talk a little bit about the vibes in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

I really wish that Twilight Princess delved further into the character of Zelda herself. She just oozes gothic sombreness that’s really unique amongst her contemporaries in the rest of the series. Whilst her role was important in the sense that she saved Hyrule by choosing to surrender, revived Midna and assisted in the final fight, she lacked presence overall. Only having her appear three times total.

I've got a wider problem with how this series treats Zelda that I plan to get to at some point but yeah I agree her role in TP is disappointing small.

I think Breath of the wild, despite its story having its issues, did the best with Zelda as a character. Not only did she have immense raw power, she had a ton of depth and development that really humanised her. They took the time to flesh out her relationship with Link and her father in a way that fleshed her out, and thus gave the audience a real motivation towards wanting to save her. I also love that she was the one holding calamity Ganon hostage, and that she was the one to get the final blow on him. Other than Spirit tracks, is the only title that really felt deserving of the title; The legend of ZELDA. Hopefully the series continues this direction for her.
