Did not expect the Orioles to be dominating the Blue Jays this year. The Os offence is ridiculous. Jays fan here, at least it’s not the Yankees.
Blue Jays are way overrated
Yea, I knew they had good young names coming up, but as a team, they arrived FAST. Cedric Mullins and Santander are like the clubhouse leaders, and they're only 28, each of them. Then Mountie and Rutchmann and Henderson, just got there and are dominating, plus their num 2 overall pick from 2020, Heston Kjerstad hasn't even gotten to the big club yet...
They're gonna be a really solid team for the next few years, until it comes time to start paying these guys when all their rookie contracts begin expiring around the same time...Mountcastle specifically has been just hammering us everytime we play, it seems....
@@adamrasmussen9939 Yeah no doubt. It's going to be a sad day when that happens. I'm a Red Sox fan and you got to root for them after being at the bottom for so long.
It is kind of odd hearing about how great the Blue Jays' pitchers have been this year until they face us. Gaussman has had an excellent season but then we play him and he's back to the guy he was in Baltimore.
@@JohnSilva-zh8wcI like the fact you want to see other teams that have struggled to be successful. Too many fans make it personal and criticize other teams regardless of how that team is doing.
Orioles Magic in 2023! Its amazing to see Orioles go from 100 loss seasons to 100 win season so quickly. Its crazy how this core of players have never played for another team. Orioles Magic has a very promising future.

No disrespect to the Os, but they would have to have a MONSTER September to get to 100 wins. They'll probably get like 93-97 wins. Very respectful and should take the division.

Every time when you watch the Jays, they are the opposite of the O’s. They lack passion, grit, determination and heart. Their pitching staff has been great. Vlad Jr., Chapman, Varsho…guys who are supposed to lead the team, absolutely blow. If I was an O’s fan, I’d be excited too. The Jays don’t belong in the playoffs.
Holliday isn't ready. He's gonna be stellar, but maybe next season?
That game was sheer abysmal. The Jays started off well 2-0 and we the O's took it away from us. Disgusting! Luckily this loss didn't ruin my night but still.

Baltimore is the real deal and will beat most teams with average pitching. They own the Jays because Toronto can’t hit with them. I would love to have the Orioles lineup with Jays pitching staff.
@brianmug2587 They need a run producer hitting cleanup. Their outfield lacks home run power. Great defensively but no power or high averages. Infield ok but need a 3rd baseman that can hit.

Feels the whole game came down to one pitch by Berrios that he let go down the middle on a full count. It was a good game.

The biggest play they omitted from the highlights for some reason was Jansen getting thrown out trying to go for a triple. Could've been a huge turning point. Stupid to send him but I appreciate the free out.

The O's pitching seems to be just as good as the Jays...and their offense seems to be much better than the Jays. No clue why some say this is Toronto's year when the O's seem to be a better team.

Vladdy, Bichette, Springer, and Chapman aren’t hitting home runs, so how do you win? Baltimore hit two with a man on. Merrifield had a terrible series without a hit. When you have Belt and Varsho as your best hitters the team is in trouble. The Jays made Kremer and Gibson look like aces the past two nights. Jays Achilles heal will be their hitting. No
home run power or good approach at the plate.
The problem is Guerrero and Springer are free swinging rally killers and they are batting at a crucial part of the order. They gotta stop giving Guerrero that high regard because this season he's just a mediocre first baseman.
Merrifield had the 1st hit of the game for either team and scored the 1st run of the game.
I am still aghast as to why the Jays dismantled their offense. Those were the worst trades the Jays have made in years.

@@MickLoud999 Moreno would have been a better keep than Kirk. Gurriel was still young and could hit. They claim he was going to cost too much. Both have made Arizona a wildcard contender. Hernandez was a good clubhouse guy and was clutch with late inning hits and home runs. Is Springer Varsho or Kiermeier doing any better than him? Maybe defensively. The real problem is their clutch hitting and home runs with men on base.
In a homage to the Earl Weaver era, the Orioles proved that classic winning baseball still relies on good pitching, timely hitting, and a touch of 'Oriole Magic'. Kyle Gibson’s impressive performance on the mound was reminiscent of Jim Palmer's excellence. As for the bats, Santander and Mullins brought some Boog Powell vibes to the plate. It was modern Orioles baseball with a nostalgic twist - Cal Ripken Jr surely would've tipped his cap in admiration!
When Ripken got his title my beloved Red Sox was coming out of the dark ages for a time after the 78 Bucky humiliating shot heard round the world. Bird was God in New England and baseball saw a bunch of memorable small market teams claim Titles but my favorite was Eddie Murray and Rick Dempsey do what great players do. As far as the Red Sox? Clemens and Hurst couldn't save them and Billy Buckner reminded us all of the pain of being a Red Sox fan. The spirit of Babe Ruth would continue to haunt Fenway for almost two more decades and then as long as that spell lasted after 04 the Sun would shine and the team I hated for Sooo very long, like poetic justice, released Ruth's spirit to the next dimension. I feel better now thanks and The End😂😂😂❤❤❤.

The Orioles are just plain better. The Jays aren't hopeless against them, but they would lose 3 or 4 out of 5 series if played repeatedly.

I've been a jays fan for a few decades now and even during their bigger struggles, I've been appreciative for them but this year is different. They have enough talent to be in the top five teams. In actuality, I believe top 3 but I don't feel life from them either individually or as a team. It's almost like watching them tank. I don't mean to insult the team but damn, it's pitiful. They could have easily had two pitchers with 15 wins and four pitchers with 10 or more wins so I feel badly for the pitchers but come on boys. Do better. Want better.
Berrios is looking like that 1st year Blue Jays Berrios. This is not looking good for playoff hopes.

Schneider made the right move pulling Kikuchi the other night when he did, should've followed the same plan. The HRs were pitches right over the middle of the plate...Berrios was losing his grasp in the game. The Jays make too many mistakes...on the field and more importantly in the dugout. Remember when Chapman went off about pitching to Ohtani and then later in the game they pitch around him. Schneider is a weak manager.

Another listless uninspired Jays effort of non-clutch hitting. Some of the players are just playing for their own stats and couldn't give two hoots about the Jays. Chapman and Belt being the two biggest culprits.
They both read zero on the intensity meter -- game after game.

As good as the Orioles are i don't see them being successful come postseason. Two rnds at most.

You might be right but the Orioles have played well. They hit great with RISP, 2 out and RISP. Smart and aggressive base runners, have been clutch almost all year.
