IC2 came and said it was offensive. How? It just is, ppl could get upset. How? Because it is, so take it down. I am willing to, if you can just explain to me how it is offensive so that the replacement note will not be.
Well he kept repeating himself so I took it down, walked to the boss and asked him. Got his gold star AND he wrote it up in an email and sent it to everyone.
It was the IC2 who was offended because it was him who made the mess.

What you described is ONE argument for CD and the most atypical. However I won't waste time spieling some word salad. Suffice to say I wrote that as I had the exact thing happen to me. They 'closed' my department and made me 'redundant'. I won a case for CD and won a 5 figure settlement as the function of the department continued without change and with the rest of the staff under a different name.
CD comes in many different forms.

As a former boss I would let people vent and then say "thank you for sharing this with me." And then I would excuse them and do absolutely nothing about "their" issue. Because it is "Their" issue to resolve, not mine.
I had a picture on my desk which my 7 year old daughter had painted. And an employee complained that it was offensive, NOT because of its content or artistic style (my daughter is handicapped, so she does what she can), but because they felt it was me bragging about having kids when others did not. I did not fire that person, but I did transfer them to a team which was filled with working parents. Every desk was covered with pics of families and kids and so on. Just because YOU have a problem with something does not mean that I need to change anything.

Yknow terms mean things right? If you aren’t educated in what terms mean it’s probably not a good idea to be all arrogant pretending like you’re educated. I study this stuff at university. Am I only educated if I agree with you? Because there’s little evidence the minimum wage has helped anyone, they work in some places but not others, to little benefit or to massive detriment in certain cases. Companies aren’t “gouging” you for anything, you choose to work, if you don’t work you don’t get the produce of others. That would be slavery.

That's why this is a fictional show. It would never happen like this IRL. There would be plenty of art on the walls to set the tone differently overall in the workplace, so the CEO gets to keep his photo as he likes. But shows like this can sell stuff to committed eyeballs that buy into their world of make-believe without so much as a blink. Serve the snarky laughing guys the next commercial. They're ready.
