Oh, Laurien, I never thought I would ever disagree with anything that you ever said, but I truly must. You said 'we are not rich...' but dear Laurien you are. Your whole family unit are. Richer than ever money could buy; rich in love and devotion to one another. Delightful update, like the ones we got to enjoy when you shared what you did in the days when Hero stubbornly refused to come out! Oh how Lilac is growing into such a little child now when the blink of an eye ago she was a baby. Can't you stop her growing up so fast please?

Hero has got so big he's gorgeous, Lilac made me smile wiping her dolls bottom with a wipe she even held the dolls legs up so funny so cute ❤❤❤

No empty threats, no means no otherwise they don’t have clear boundaries on if you mean something or not. If they ignore you after a warning then there should be a consequence or time out. Distraction techniques better for small ones. My favourite saying is no thank you, mine now know if I say that it’s a warning to stop if after that they don’t listen then it’s a warning “if you don’t stop or don’t do this then such and such will happen or you will go to time out. I’m no parent expert but have plenty experience after 17 years. Consequences aren’t a bad thing, they help mould them into the best version of them & will build the best relationships between you all xx

What a nice video. Lilac is so cute she's a expert at nappy changing just made me laugh watching her with her doll !! And hero is so cute , I just love his chubby cheeks & what a happy chappie he is just lovely. You've got a lot going on with everything, what with a new baby, house move but what I like about you is that nothing really phases you , you take everything in your stride. You remind me of my niece, who I absolutely adore, she's 42, things not been easy, bit she's always knuckled down with things, got on with it, never complained when things were tough , & that's how I see you. You just get on with it!! House moving is tough & stressful anyway but you take it in your stride , like it's no big deal , amazing. And going to the USA for 6 months is something that would be wonderful but you both young so maybe in few years time once your all settled into your new home. But that woukd be fantastic. Sounds like Curtis is a great help to you , but like you say he wasn't always which I think is the case for most people. When we first moved in together many years ago my husband ( we weren't married then ) was awful, did absolutely nothing around the house etc but now he's great , but it dod take quite a while, few rows along the way. Were been together 36 years now so he's fully trained now !! Sounds like Curtis Is fully trained as well!!, 😊 realky enjoyed this video laurien

Lovely video Laurien. Thank you for the update. The thing I found with disapline and children is to set boundaries but be consistent in upholding them. Order, routine and knowing consequences means children know what is expected of them. No curve balls and no chaos makes for secure, happy children ❤
Yes OK thats right thank you I don't think I've been very consistent in the past but I will do my best from now! ❤️
Boy your kids misbehaving is most kids being angels I was with my grandkids all day yesterday and oh my goodness and he doesn't look so much like Cosmo anymore he's got his own look

I think it is important to set boundaries, and expectations for your children..along with this comes appreciation and responsibilities.
You have definitely set and have fair expectations with;
eating, sleeping, electronics and games times etc.
Responsibilities can be for their toys...you don't have to take away toys as a consequence, but perhaps don't purchase any new ones for a while....etc, etc😊
That's right and I've read all your comments before I'd responded and everyone's helped me to realise I'm doing good in setting boundaries.

You know your children well and cater for their individual needs like a supermum..I would not be overly worried about a bit of attitude..they know who is in charge. 😉

We’ve only got 1 child at the minute but have talked about having a big family but we both have no experience of it coming from the standard 2 parents, 2 children household.
We were wondering how people manage it all - Housework, current and future financial planning, time management etc ?
Do you ever worry about your children not being able to buy a house in the future, go to uni etc because your finances are diluted between them all? How do you plan for eventual future retirement etc as a SAHM?
Just some questions I’ve been wondering as I have no idea what big families do and their views on things!

Super interested to just know how you meet the practical life circumstances with a big family. Do you guys budget? You talked about being broke before. How did you guys get out of it? Do you worry about it happening again with lots of children or not being able to save money for each of your children for later in life?
Do you ever feel ‘claustrophobic’ or stressed out living in a small house with so many kids?

Yes we have to be cruel to be kind sometimes….just so we don’t raise little arse holes😂 Children need boundaries and sometimes it’s hard to enforce them but my children are polite and well behaved because I’m firm.
