From the 1:00 mark to the 1:17, is it my imagination or does he look pissed at his friend for either forgetting, or giving up on, the song? I think that is why he stepped in and sang his heart out.
So he doesn’t like to showcase his singing from shy or not wanting to change his current lifestyle . He was upset at his buddy who paid for him to come and play the guitar but left him hanging when he was supposed to play guitar while the friend should have sung

The first guy can't really sing... He's friend save he's ass for being such a bad singer and make them both look like idiots until he's friends open he's mouth!
I actually like his too lol it’s obviously not technically good but I think there is a place for singers with not the greatest voices
@@onyxthegreat865sometimes it's not like the greatest voice we r programmed to hear, high notes etc, the musician addresses the listener pulling at heart string... Deep, crackling husky low guttaral voice has its own beauty too.
