  • 2015 Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV 0-100km/h & engine sound. Head over to performancedriv... for the full review.
2015 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde (QV)
    1.75-litre turbocharged petrol four-cylinder
    177kW and 340Nm (TCT auto)
    Six-speed dual-clutch TCT auto, front-wheel drive
0-100km/h in 6.1 seconds (as tested)
Are you after a hot hatch that not only packs potent performance but also style and flamboyance? The 2015 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde (QV) is out to offer exactly that.
Most hot hatches on the market today concentrate on cutting down lap times, hitting high g-forces in the corners and escaping from apexes with as little fuss and commotion as mechanically possible. The Giulietta QV can do that, but it's not really that fussed. It's more sophisticated. It's got better things to do, such as looking good.
The new QV coincides with the MY2015 Giulietta update. It retains the 1.75-litre boosted four-cylinder, producing 173kW of power with the six-speed manual, and 177kW with the dual-clutch TCT auto (as tested). Both develop 340Nm at just 1900rpm, sending urgency through a front-wheel drive system.

Test drove the early model QV with 6mt. It was probably one of the most difficult manual transmission I've ever driven since Maserati 3200GT. It feels like the car deliberately wants to stall if you're not careful. You can't just meet the clutch and go like any modern manual it's old school

    Hello PDrive TV!
Very good tests are carried out on automobiles, they are already a referete in this field.
I have read the full review on their website, but notice some missing data from this Giulietta:
1.- What is its value in the in-car idle?
2.- How many dB's in the in-car full trottle?
    3.- What was your acceleration from 60 - 100 km/h?
4.- What were the figures obtained in the deceleration of 100 - 0 km/h?
To be able to compare it among the cars of your competition that you have tested. I appreciate your attention, I look forward to your prompt response.
    Best regards.

sorry but the mito engine has nothing to do with this one, the Mito engine is an evolution of the old Fiat Fire base.
This Giulietta is an all aluminium engine that was inspired by the old 1750 twin spark engine and had its first itineration on the 159 although it was an iron block with an aluminium head, Alfa completely overhauled that engine and made it a 100% aluminium engine like on the older Nord or Twin spark Alfa engines, nothing to do with the fire engine from Fiat.
This new 1750 TBI is exclusive of the 4C and Giulietta and it's the exact same unit, there's also no other cars using this engine on the Fiat group.

Alfa 156 interior quality is awful, in 159 they fixed all, but costed 100 kg...I hope giulia will do it better, I do not expect a track day car like these old 105 series or giulia sprint, I do not live in 60s in daily commuting , 159 fits me perfect. but I tried so hard to love this giulietta, there is no really good worked alfa detail inside...

The 159 is a good car but I never enjoyed driving it. It weighs 300kg more than the 156. My v6 weighs 1320kg, the 159 2.2 weighed over 1600kg. The 3.2 well over 1700kg. I am surprised how well the interior of my 1998 156 is wearing. With some replacement trim it looks almost as good as new.

I do not know how do you calculate these weights, but phase 2(after 2008) 159 1.9 diesel is (mine) 1450 kg, and 156 similar engine diesel should weight sure over 1350 kg. Sure caroserrie is just 100 kg heavier. (I am not interested in gm petrol engines ) I said I am all rounder, not a real petrol head like you, you are a lucky man with busso v6, enjoy it. Then you are lucky with your interior. I saw 156 s with passenger Airbag cover does not fit, and very hard, shining plastic, it wasn't my taste. Yeah giulia, I don't care, even it is a shit, I will buy it one. Day ;-)

Sorry you are right almost 200 kg heavier on same engine... I checked it again. massive difference, but the (Fahrwerk ) I don't know in English, technology is and traction and electronic etc, advanced in these 10 years, between models, so real gap is not feeling like 200 kg...
