thank you sincerely for this excellent video. one of the best presented I have ever seen, the explanation plus examples for comparison was truly comprehensive and meaningful. From *ms* is more difficult but knowing a coin is either *ms* or below may be the difference in accessing to grade or not to grade. This is my new reference guide for pennies. humbly and respectfully with kind regards .

That helped out a lot because I have some Lincoln wheat cents that I've inherited and they didn't even have a scratch on them but because they didn't have that luster and they were brown I figured they wouldn't be mint state. Just because they're brown doesn't mean they won't grade well eventhough will be less desirable

I know this is a 5 year old vid, but thank you for the easy to follow pictures. I think my 1919 penny is somewhere between the Very fine 12 and very fine 20. the upper wheat stalk lines aren't quite as clear as the 20, but all the text is very well preserved, and while Lincoln's face is a tad worn, I make out a decent bit of detail in his hair, his ear, and the bowtie is very visible. worst part of it is it's a tad discolored, a bit dark, but the details are lighter and stand out more.

Nice video and very informative. One thing that caught my eye was the 1929 D Lincoln at 7:10. It seems at least to me to have alot of wear on the cheek, the jaw, above the ear and on the jacket of Lincoln. Also the glaring white place in the right field is really detracting from the look of the coin in my opinion. Is this a grading mistake that it got an MS grade?

Don't clean your coins. Only use warm water and soap or if really bad do a pure acetone dip make sure there's not any debris in the acetone it will stick to the coin

What do you think it may be worth? I can't find anything about this " slanted 5" anywhere. Unless it says slanted S , but I'm sure it's 5. And says Var. 3 also. Please help.
