    Any likenesses or similarities with the work or creations of other magicians, creators or artists are purely coincidental. I believe that there is nothing new under the sun… When likeminded artists with similar ambitions attempt to achieve all of the wonderful and amazing things that are possible with a deck of playing cards, obviously similarities will occur and similar problem-solving individuals, will inevitably reach the same conclusions and arrive at the same destinations. It then becomes a matter of who came first?

Should my work, creations or publications share any likenesses that are not acknowledged or credited correctly, there is usually a justified reason however, I do aim to credit and acknowledge correctly and accordingly so please, let me know if you believe that I have missed or not acknowledged when and where I should have… I am always learning and in my plight to advance the practice and performance of magic as an art, I will always do the right thing and offer thanks, credit and acknowledgments.

    While I love learning new card moves the thing I appreciate most about your videos is the time you spend explaining the subtleties of the moves. It's always the small details that turn just a card trick into true magic.

    I've been doing the shade shuffle for some time now and love it. One thing I have discovered is that if you pull the thumb along the single card that you are holding up, because of friction the card vibrates/moves up and down a little. This way it stops me over moving the single card up and down when shuffling.

    Nice. I love the Zarrow, but have started to do everything in the hands, because it has broader utility and looks less professional. While it takes more skill to do a bridge and strip-out in the hands, less people are familiar with those methods.
    I definitely agree with you that fake sloppiness enhances the reveal! I rarely even do any flourishes - at least none that are too flashy - for that exact reason.

    Hello Daniel Madison,
    First of all, I would like to thank you for all of the great content you have been putting out there lately.
    I have reached out to your support staff about the recent release of the Charlie Madison cards and haven't heard back.
    I got a notification a more than a month ago about the shipment of the cards and was told to email if I hadn't received them in 28 days to contact the Charlie Madison email. Since I haven't heard back - I decided it would be best to contact you directly. I was curious if you had any opinions of what my next course of action should be. I appreciate it.

    Daniel:
    I had to comment on your "Shade Shuffle." I am an actor and some years ago I had a part on a film titled, "Shade." I don't know if you are familiar with the film but it was about gambling, card hustlers and cons. The film was written and directed by my friend, Damian Nieman. Damian also produced a couple of DVD tutorials on gambling shuffles and sleights. One was on the "Bottom Deal" and the other was titled "Fast Company." "Fast Company" has some interesting info... if you have never seen it check it out... you might enjoy another perspective. I was just wondering if you got the idea of naming your shuffle the "Shade Shuffle" from the movie or if it is just coincidence?
    4. Apologies for the long-winded comment! "Fanx for being here and keep up the good work... it is appreciated."

    • @nick0703
      @nick0703 Před 5 lety

      I think in ‘fast company’ Damien talks about creating shade or cover. I think it’s a common name for a deceptive practice
      What part did you play in shade btw?

    • @mzurich
      @mzurich Před 5 lety

      @@nick0703 I know it is a "common" term regarding cover for a "move and/or sleight." I was just curious as to whether or not the movie title may have been an inspiration for Daniel's name of his sleight. I played the part of one of Malini's men. I'm the one who has pistol and yelling scene with Tandie Newton. Thanks for asking...

  • @bjogden
    @bjogden Před 2 lety

    Personally not a fan of this for my own use , as it looks like a move and looks very unnatural in the movements ( similar reason I don't like Zarrows) . However I love the innovation and the attempt to advance older moves that need updates. I agree it is an improvement on the Zarrow. Regardless of my opinions, hats off to Daniel for always looking forward to the future of moves.
