I got one;good package as you said;I had a T7 previously and the transalp is lacking torque below 5000rpm for me;the other thing annoying me are tube tires and no preload knob to adjust the rear suspension;the price is OK,but I needed to add hand guards,engine protection,center stand,crash bars and you reach after the real price wich compare to the suzuki 800 DE. good summary from you and not too long;thank you
You can fit an aftermarket high exhaust. Also the mounting bracket is not welded but screwed to the frame, meaning no risk of frame damage. I also now the 800gs quite well. The TA is a lot more nimble & 270 degree crank has a smoother power delivery.
For me to take you seriously... As a motorcycle reviewer proper rider attire needs to be worn. Blue jeans and Tennis shoes are not protective enough and give the wrong signal to would be riders.

Like the Transalp. But this low exhaust and needed protectors are a gamebraker for me. My old f800gs will do the job better for me i think.

As a motorcyclist, you should know that motorcycle sneakers are a good choice in summer, and Dainese does not produce tennis shoes.
