    You need to reset/lift the thin bar on the housing below those two bolts to engage the teeth on the wheels. It simply pivots up and down. Down position allows you to adjust wheels by rotating them. Then lift bar with finger tips to engage sprocket wheel teeth. That keeps them from rotating along the threaded bar as it turns .

    Customer needs to put a stop-bracket at the end of the open position, turn down the ERD and replace the limit-box. Replace that (41) grade drive-chain and your golden!!

    Clearly at 2:37,5:38,6:36 when the gate is opening and closing, you can hear the chain clank like it skips a tooth. Especially at 6:36, if you can pause it, you can clearly see the chain skipped a tooth because it sits higher than the teeth. That is why little by little it moves and gets closer to your back flow device. Most likely it's your chain. Here is the clip czcams.com/users/clipUgkxnNNZGFf-fWyJQVsZAdLa12Z3ggMM0BXW

    Lack of lubrication on the chain may cause the chain to become stiff and as consequence to jump on the sprocket. Definitely, on the 6:36 mark you can see it jumping. Completely agree with Alfredo Duran.

    I had the same problem with my gate. Tightening the main chain and making sure the limit wheels couldn't rotate didn't help, it kept coming out of adjustment. Problem turned out to be the smaller of the two chains that drives the shaft upon which the limit wheels are screwed - it was so rusty that it kept skipping, which shifted the gate and the adjustment shaft out of sync.

      @@vargagulshani9372 Do not buy chain 40. You have to buy chain 41. It worked on my gate.

    Thanks. I just fixed my gate from watching this video. Mine was closing too far in. Adjusted the cams. I guess it happens after so many years of use? Mine is 15 years old.

    You have to check the alien screws to make sure they are tied.

    I think you. need to replace your limit switch cams ,I think the threads are stripped , allowing the cam to move one or two threads each time it opens

    Looks like set screws are loose on the limit switch threaded sprocket drive. That's what it looks like to me, the limit nuts are traveling properly. I hope you resolved this by now.

      @@wesleytacker We run into these eagle unit all the time. Usually when the gate is short close or opens too far its a chain issue. The chain is to slack, but it looks good in the vid. Things to look for are anything that would make the chain skip while traveling. Next is the shaft sprocket for the limit nut threaded rod, there is small set screw that can slide if not tight. Limit nuts can also have the thread damaged, bend the small plate back on the limit nuts and wiggle them if they wiggle alot the nuts will need to be replaced. Your best bet is to get a tech out there imo. Only so much can be diagnosed from a video.

      @joto2875 Před rokem +1

      @@wesleytacker just noticed youre not the video poster. Check for tight chain, straight chain travel, debris in drive sprocket. Any thing that can make the chain skip a link. Open up the housing and watch the sprocket spin for a few cycles.

    You need to replace the cam wheel, both of them, center of the cam brass should be permanently attached to the plastic wheel.

    • @joto2875
      @joto2875 Před rokem +3

      Not true, they nylon nuts should be free spinning when the retaining plate is pushed back. The nylon nuts are meant to slide from side to side on the thread, so instead of the nuts spinning the rod spins which in turn move the nylons to the limits. They should never be bonded to the threaded rod.
