Another Mordetwi prequel. Mordecai and Twilight had some great times but moments like this sent Mordecai over the edge…maybe one day these two will reunite… - Komedie
To be fair knowing the context behind the burgers, I can’t blame him. Not only that but she ate his best friend’s burger too. That is just plan scummy.
But at the same time, Mordecai killing twilight is crossing the line.
Well at least at first.
I think we have to mention when Mordecai punched benson for making a joke about twilight during the park awards. But in reality Mordecai was pressured by twilight.
I can only assume these two were in a good relationship at first but after a while with Mordecai still simping for margret not letting go and has a difficulty maintaining a relationship with twilight because he doesn’t want to go through a break up again. And twilight, I guess really just using Mordecai emotions and emotional dependence gives twilight an advantage towards mordecai. But I guess she has a flawed view on friendships let alone relationships.
I guess when twilight ate the burgers of Mordecai and Rigby made Mordecai drew the line. The fact that twilight also ate his best friends burger really set him off.
I would want to write more of how I see the lore on these videos but I’m not sure if I wanna write another essay.

Now knowing that my comment has been pinned I might as well continue my view on the lore.
So the part where Mordecai kills Twilight.
First I can only assume that the reason those two ended up in space riding a microwave was because they had a heated argument with each other about their relationship.
Mordecai calling out twilight for using him, his friends and his feelings for her advantage.
While twilight calls out Mordecai by not focusing on their current relationship and still going after someone who probably has no interest in Mordecai in the first place.
Soon after in time and space, Twilight says to Mordecai “are you crazy?” Probably meaning that Mordecai put them both in the situation of being stuck in time and space.
But now Mordecai doesn’t care about that. All he does now is take out his anger on twilight, no longer hiding his inner feelings.
Mordecai angrily yells at twilight saying that she ruined his chances of getting with Margret and ruining everything.
This indicates that Mordecai knew that he and twilight’s relationship is not going to work after everything and is trying to take a chance with Margaret again.
Mordecai also says “you don’t do that to your best friend!”
Meaning that Mordecai always considered twilight as a best friend, but he had to lecture her on what best friends should do for each other. How twilight should’ve supported him into having a chance with Margret even though he was already in a relationship.
But then twilight blurts out “well maybe I’m better off without friends like you!!!”
Its kinda true that she is better off without Mordecai knowing how things are going between them. But that statement is so ignorant to what she put Mordecai through and treating him like he’s the bully of the relationship at this point. I guess at that moment she tried to put his feelings down.
However at that moment, the nail hits the coffin.
Mordecai yells out of pure blinded rage that he’ll kill her and pushes twilight off the microwave killing her instantly.
But Mordecai suddenly regrets it. Because he has relationship problems and he didn’t want to go through another breakup. Mordecai realizes that he just destroyed another relationship with someone who gave him a chance.
Even after knowing that he and twilight will never work, killing someone who actually gave him a chance at a relationship, the thing he always wanted was gone.
Months after the “breakup” Mordecai went into a depression. He knew that there was no point going after Margaret after what he had done to twilight.
Pim and Charlie heard about Mordecai’s depression and tried to help only to find him about to off himself still thinking about what he did to twilight.
Mordecai last thought was what could have been. What if he and twilight actually talked about their problems in a healthy way? What if he and she actually seek help for their relationship. What if they actually had time to cool off for a bit? What if everything worked out?
But the reality is, it had never and will never happen. So what’s the point of trying again knowing that this might repeat itself.
Mordecai couldn’t go on like this anymore.
Charlie knew that Mordecai was a lost cause at this point knowing that there was nothing they can do. Even though pim insisted that they should try, Charlie convinced him that Mordecai made up his mind and cut their losses.
A gunshot was heard throughout the entire park house.
It’s over, Mordecai was gone.

@@bensondancing Well, he wasn't like this with Benson; so I assumed this is the second Ultimeatum incident because of how he reacts here, which means the "once every century" advertisement was a lie since this obviously isn't 100 years after the first one (with Benson eating their burgers). Therefore, Mordecai can just be patient for the next opportunity, or Twilight can just figure out a way to fix this mistake (because she's just great like that) - maybe locate where the truck went and buy them another burger. (with her own dosh, of course)
