Bill Busch did such a great job last year, especially the last 8 games when he was Defensive Coordinator. Here are some interesting statistics when he was in charge of the defense which was the final 8 games. Keep in mind, this is being compared against the first 4 games where Nebraska was favored in 3 of those games. First 4 games NU points allowed 35.5, last 8 games NU points allowed 23.6. First 4 games NU rushing yards allowed 234, last 8 games NU rushing yards allowed 167. First 4 games NU passing yards allowed 281, last 8 games NU passing yards allowed 159. Also keep in mind this is without spring or fall practice where the players could have benefited from learning his particular system. The players had to learn everything on the run. Great Job Bill Busch!

Also the last 8 games were the tougher games. 2 of those games Michigan (got blown out) and Purdue (QB played lights out) and we still improved significantly and remember that after Casey got injured we had no real offense.

Coach Busch is the best! If you're planning a conference or need a speaker, Coach is outstanding!

Thank you, Bill Busch, for having such a DRAMATIC impact on the Husker defense last year! You could tell almost immediately that there was something distinctly different to our defense.
I wish you would have been a holdover to coach Rhule's staff. Good luck to you wherever you end up. We'll miss you.

I have come to really appreciate BB. His story, how he got his foot in the door, ect. Can't wait to see what's next for him.

Great podcast... thanks guys! After listening to that, who wouldn't want to play for Bill?
From a KSC grad, he had me at "always going to be Kearney State to me".
I was at that Iowa State vs Nebraska game in 1992. The coldest I've ever been in my life. The stadium is like a wind tunnel. Halftime was like "March of the Penguins" with everyone huddling together trying to get into the bathroom where it was warm and not wanting to leave. We kept waiting for the hammer to fall and Nebraska to start kicking butt, but it never happened. We drove home stunned in silence. Hell had frozen over.

Maybe your best podcast ever. BB stories are a who's who of college football. Hard to believe with the huge football staff in Lincoln there is no role for someone with his knowledge and Husker passion.

I was legitimately sad and maybe it's just on my stream, but I was legitimately sad this wasn't a 3 hours interview. :(

Saddest part of the new staff is that I think Bill Busch would have been great with Matt Rhule

Sorry you feel this way. My daughters both attended college in New Orleans (one still lives there) and absolutely LOVE Louisiana. The people are nice, genuine, and great sports fans.
